Dr Saurabh Gupta completed PhD in Mechanical Engineering. He is having more than 20 years experience in teaching & research. Dr Gupta is having rich experience of conducting ISTE & IIC activities. Dr Gupta earlier elected as ISTE Section Managing Committee member. He is having rich experience in Accreditation processes. He conducted workshops/FDPs on Autonomy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, R&D funding Schemes and Outcome Based Education. He organized number of International/National Conferences/STTPs etc in Mechanical Engineering Department. He fetched number of funding grants from ISTE/AICTE etc. He earlier worked as Dean(IQAC), Dean (R&D and Innovation) and Dean (Industry Institute Interaction). Currently, Dr Gupta is working as Dean (Academics) at Indira College of Engineering and Management Pune. Dr Gupta is PhD thesis reviewer & Vice Chancellor nominated BoS member of Mechanical Engineering at KBC North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon.

Optimising Allocation of Resources in Energy Systems Using Machine Learning Richa, K T Thilagham, M. Siva Swetha Reddy, Dejan Mircetic, Saurabh Gupta, Manish Gupta, R Kavitha Recent Trends in Engineering and Science for Resource Optimization and Sustainable Development, 2025 For energy systems to be sustainable and economically viable, resources must be allocated effectively. In order to optimize resource allocation in energy systems, this research investigates the use of machine learning approaches. It explores the benefits and difficulties of utilizing machine learning for improved energy resource management, placing special emphasis on its potential to raise energy efficiency, lower prices, and aid in the switch to sustainable energy sources. Due to its effectiveness, durability, and low cost, cloud services are being employed by both businesses and consumers more frequently. Today, the adoption of cutting-edge technologies like blockchain and digital banking, IoT, online gaming, and video streaming depends on the effectiveness of management approaches to reduce energy consumption, increase revenues, and reduce environmental impact. This paper reviews, evaluates, and classifies different clustering, optimisation, and machine learning algorithms used in cloud resource allocation in order to improve energy efficiency and performance. We instead look at how multi-objective optimisation techniques aim to cut down on energy use, violate service level agreements (SLAs), and simultaneously raise QoS.
Charge Optimization in Window Air Conditioner with Commercial LPG (Hydrocarbon Blend) Saurabh Gupta, Srinivas Pendyala International Journal of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, 2021 In this paper, the window air conditioner performance with commercial LPG as a replacement of HFC134a is assessed with modified capillary lengths for charge optimization. Global Warming Potential (GWP) of commercial LPG is only three, which is neglected compared to HFC134a (1300). Flammability issues will also be reduced in charge optimization and adopting safety standards. Initially, baseline tests are conducted with HFC134a and commercial LPG in the existing system, and optimum refrigerant charge is determined. The simulation study is conducted with modified capillary lengths for charge reduction of commercial LPG. Experimental assessment is conducted for the charge optimization as per IS 1349 (Part 1) for low ambient test conditions (Domestic Test-DT and Export Test A-ETA) and high ambient test conditions (Export Test B-ETB). With the optimized capillary length and optimum charge quantity, 0.4–2.03% higher cooling capacity, 0.62–8.9% lesser power consumption, and 10.49–16.4% higher COP are achieved with commercial LPG than that of HFC134a baseline at low and high ambient test conditions, respectively.
