Shafiqul Islam

Shafiqul Islam is an Assistant Professor of Arabic at Government Girls’ General Degree College, Ekbalpur, Kolkata, India. Current research interests of Shafiqul Islam includes Romanticism in Arabic Literature and he has also keen interest in translation: literary and journalistic.
Shafiqul Islam is a graduate in Arts with honours in Arabic, an M. A. in Arabic, an M. Phil. in Arabic from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and a Ph. D. in Arabic from the university of Calcutta. He joined West Bengal Education Services and was posted at Maulana Azad College, Kolkata as an Assistant Professor of Arabic in 2014 and was transferred to Government Girls’ General Degree College, Ekbalpur, Kolkata in 2016 which he is serving currently as an Assistant Professor.
He has authored thirteen research articles in Arabic and English and translated six Bengali poems into Arabic which have been published in international journals and also published one authored book, as well as he has presented paper
