Graduated in Bachelor of Geography (1983); Masters in Geography (1990), and Ph.D. in Geography by the Institute of Geosciences and Exact Sciences (IGCE) of the São Paulo State University “Júlio de Mesquita Filho” (UNESP) (1996), Rio Claro campus. Title of Lecturer in Interpretation and Valuation of Landscapes, by IGCE-UNESP (, 2007). Post-doctorate at the Forestry Institute of São Paulo (SP), in the Serra do Mar State Park, Núcleo Santa Virginia (2010-2013), São Luiz do Paraitinga (SP). She is a retired professor at the Department. of Geography, of the Institute of Geosciences and Exact Sciences, of the State University of São Paulo “State University of São Paulo“ Júlio de Mesquita Filho ”, where he taught from 1985 to 2016. She also worked in the Geography Graduate Program at IGCE-UNESP, until 2017.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Perception, Interpretation, and Environmental and Landscape Valuation; multidimensional and multifunctional landscapes; subjective valuation of landscapes, ecological education; cenic routes; model forests; park roads; risks, disasters, and environmental impacts.
