Biotechnology-Horticulture
University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Cluj-Napoca (USAMV Cluj-Napoca)

I am a first-year PhD student in Horticulture, where I am deepening my
knowledge through the research project entitled: “Inducing Drought
Resistance in Plants of Interest through Biotechnological Methods –
Transformation with Rhizobium
I hold a degree in Biotechnology Engineering and have gained practical
experience during my studies working with plant cell and tissue cultures. I
developed six functional foods, which I presented at faculty-organized
academic events.
For several years, I worked as a sales consultant in a natural products
pharmacy, where I designed phytotherapeutic treatment schemes tailored to
patients’ needs according to their health conditions.
Additionally, I conducted biochemical analyses to determine bioactive
compounds in plants, including polyphenols, carotenoids, and chlorophyll.
I aim to further strengthen my expertise in:
• Molecular genetics applied to plant biotechnology
• Plant cell and tissue culture techniques
• Biochemistry
