Hanumaiah Chinese Physics B, 2013 In this paper, we have applied the Lie algebraic model to nano-bio molecules to determine the vibrational spectra of different stretching and bending vibrational modes. The determined vibrational energy levels by the Lie algebraic model are compared with the experimental data. The results from the theoretical model are consistent with the experimental data. The vibrational energy levels are clustering in the excited states.

Hanumaiah Acta Physica Polonica A, 2013 An algebraic model of coupled anharmonic oscillators is introduced, capable of describing the stretching vibrations of medium-size molecules. This model is applied to the calculation of OH vibrational modes of water molecules. In this paper, we have reported the stretching and bending vibrational energy levels of water molecule using the algebraic and density functional theory method. The results obtained by theoretical models show good agreement with the experimental values.

Within new theoretical approaches, we have calculated the stretching and bending vibrational energy levels of a water molecule in fundamental and overtone modes. The present calculation not only predicts the higher overtones, but also shows good agreement with a few experimental data.
