Effects of Mergers & Acquisitions on Financial Performance of PSB's In India - An Empirical Analysis under Mega Consolidation Plan N Devaraju, B N Prathap Proceedings of 3rd IEEE International Conference on Knowledge Engineering and Communication Systems Ickecs 2025, 2025 A study has been conducted on Mergers & Acquisition and its impact on Financial Performance in banking sectors. The purpose of this paper is to understand the concept and impact of Mergers & Acquisition on the financial performance of mega consolidated public sector banks in India and identify the underlying reasons, benefits and challenges faced by the banks at the time of Mergers and Acquisitions. The research was carried out using the financial report of the Mega consolidated banks to acquire secondary data. In this particular study EAGLE Model Framework is used to analyze the financial performance of Punjab national bank merged with Oriental bank of commerce & united bank of India, Union bank of India merged with Andra bank & Corporation bank, Indian Bank merged with Allahabad bank and Canara bank merged with Syndicate bank. This analysis was performed using financial parameters Return of Assets, Non-performing assets, Deposit growth rate, Loan to deposit ratio and Capital Adequacy ratio. In this paper Paired T-Test is used for the hypothesis testing, As a result, the analysis shows that there is an impact on financial performance of merged banks which is increased in the post merged phase.

This abstract discusses the evolution, impacts, and potential future applications of modern banking solutions within Industry 5.0. The evolution of banking solutions has been marked by the integration of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IoT). These technologies have revolutionized traditional banking practices, providing enhanced efficiency, security, and personalized customer experiences. The impacts of these advancements are profound across various dimensions. They have streamlined financial operations, enabling real-time transactions, automated customer service through chatbots, and personalized financial advice based on big data analytics. Moreover, they have improved regulatory compliance through advanced monitoring and reporting capabilities. Further, the potential applications of modern banking solutions in Industry 5.0 are large.
