    MDPI AG
Currently, utilizing virtualization technology in data centers often imposes an increasing burden on the host machine (HM), leading to a decline in VM performance. To address this issue, live virtual migration (LVM) is employed to alleviate the load on the VM. This study introduces a hybrid machine learning model designed to estimate the direct migration of pre-copied migration virtual machines within the data center. The proposed model integrates Markov Decision Process (MDP), genetic algorithm (GA), and random forest (RF) algorithms to forecast the prioritized movement of virtual machines and identify the optimal host machine target. The hybrid models achieve a 99% accuracy rate with quicker training times compared to the previous studies that utilized K-nearest neighbor, decision tree classification, support vector machines, logistic regression, and neural networks. The authors recommend further exploration of a deep learning approach (DL) to address other data center performance issues. This paper outlines promising strategies for enhancing virtual machine migration in data centers. The hybrid models demonstrate high accuracy and faster training times than previous research, indicating the potential for optimizing virtual machine placement and minimizing downtime. The authors emphasize the significance of considering data center performance and propose further investigation. Moreover, it would be beneficial to delve into the practical implementation and dissemination of the proposed model in real-world data centers.

Taufik Hidayat, Rahutomo Mahardiko, and Ali Miftakhu Rosyad

The London Academy of Science and Business Limited
Currently, there are some methods of preparing data for validating an IT value model correctly. One challenge in applying data mining to validate model values is to convert data into an appropriate form for this activity. Data mining algorithms can then be applied using the prepared data. The adequacy of data preparation often determines whether this data mining is successful or not. This study aims at creating a method for preparing the data during validation. The basic method used for data preparation is the Returns to Scale (RTS) method because it is easy to use and can be combined with further validation results. This method was applied by employing two models: two-factor and three-factor models. Both models are then compared to see the difference between them. The developed model is then tested on Branchless Banking (BB) and Downstream Petroleum (DP) industries. The results show that the method is applicable to prepare the data for validation. In addition, the results also demonstrate that both industries, DP and BB, have different result on data preparation, meaning that DP and BB have different ITs. This research contributes not only to a technique of preparing data for validating an IT value model by the RTS method but also can be a basis to work for data validation because it can give a result with the behaviour of the industry.

    IEEE
The proposed geographic information system (GIS) provides a systematic approach to locating and connecting art studios, enabling cultural institutions, artists, and students to collaborate and share resources more efficiently. The implementation of a structured GIS and Haversine Formula and Greedy Algorithm can improve the management and connectivity of art studios in Cirebon, fostering connections and collaboration between art studios, artists, and cultural institutions. This research used a greedy algorithm to find the shortest route from user’s current location to the destination point, i.e., Art Gallery. The Greedy Algorithm is a problem-solving approach that aims to find an optimal solution by iteratively selecting the best local option. The Haversine formula is used to calculate the distance from each connected node using the haversine formula, which converts latitudes and longitudes from degrees to radians and calculates the differences in latitude and longitude. In implementing the nearest art studio search system, the Haversine Formula combined with Greedy Algorithm can be employed as an alternative for search logic since it can directly calculate the distance from the initial point or user’s selected point by utilizing easily identifiable reference points.

Taufik Hidayat, Kalamullah Ramli, R. Deiny Mardian, and Rahutomo Mahardiko

    Yayasan Riset dan Pengembangan Intelektual
The industry and government have recently acknowledged and used virtual machines (VM) to promote their businesses. During the process of VM, some problems might occur. The issues, such as a heavy load of memory, a large load of CPU, a massive load of a disk, a high load of network and time-defined migration, might interrupt the business processes. This paper identifies the migration process among hosts for VM to overcome the problem within the defined time frame of migration. The introduction of VMs migration in a timely manner is to detect a problem earlier. There are workload parameters, such as network, CPU, disk and memory as our parameters. To overcome the issue, we have to follow the Model named Fuzzy rule. The rule follows the basic of tree model for decision-making. The application of the fuzzy Model for the study is to determine VMs allocation from busy VMs to vacant VMs for balancing purposes. The result of the study showed that the use of the fuzzy Model to forecast VMs migration based on the defined rule had 2 positive impacts. The positive impacts are (1) Time frame live migration of VMs can reduce workload by 80 %. This aims to reduce failures in performing a live migration of VMs to increase data center performance. (2) In testing, the fuzzy Model can provide results with an accuracy of 90 %, so this model can perform a live migration of VMs precisely in determining the execution time. Next, the workload could be balanced among VMs. This research could be used further to improve 5G Quality of Experience (QoE) shortly.

  • Model Development of Information Technology Value for Downstream Petroleum Industry
    Taufik Hidayat and Rahutomo Mahardiko

    IEEE
Until today, industries know about their Information Technology (IT) spending year by year. Those industries calculate and understand that the spending always grows. The problem is they only know that their IT spending is just costs and no effect to performance in term of revenue. This study aim is to create model that can explain relation between IT spending and industry's performance. The research process employs IT value analysis as a basis. This approach can generate IT value through capabilities and core competencies. Hence it will impact on performance. The study will employ Downstream Petroleum (DP) industry. We take DP because the case study is non IT industry. As non IT industry, DP industry only spends low cost on IT. The industry has a need to know the IT value. The research result shows that certain IT resources may have positive impacts to IT value by deploying IT value model.

  • The effect of social media regulatory content law in Indonesia
    Taufik Hidayat and Rahutomo Mahardiko

    Telecommunications Association Inc.
Nowadays, information technology (IT) has been used widely in the world. People use IT in their jobs and get the latest information about everything that happens in the world. Therefore, IT has a big impact on peoples’ lives. Information can be found easily in a news portal, social media, and a search engine. This study used social media WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, and Instagram as the primary sources. In using social media, people can share positive (news, current research) or negative (hoax) information. Unfortunately, messages can be shared without verifying their truthfulness. Many people have used social media to share fake news and bullying. Hong Kong, France, Indonesia and Venezuela are examples of countries where a hoax has become the part of peoples’ lives. In Indonesia, the government created a Constitutional Law (CL), Undang-Undang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik (CL of Information and Electronic Transactions), to regulate responses to negative information and filter this kind of information. This paper analyses the effect of social media regulatory law and hoax news on social life. The results of this study show that the Indonesian CL could be useful to regulate the use of social media in other countries.

  • Energy Efficiency Analysis through Misalignment on New Design of Hexagonal Coil Array in Wireless Power Transfer
Taufik Hidayat, , Sianturi Tigor Franky D, Rahutomo Mahardiko, , and

    Penerbit UTHM
From our understanding about WPT, it is a very advanced technology to transmit energy with indirect connection between source and destination [1]. Lots of applications are implementing this technology, such as: (1) electric vehicles (EV), (2) capsule endoscopy, (3) power supplies (underwater or beneath the earth) and so on without any affection [1], [2], [3]. Power transfer applications demand has significantly increased especially in high power. Basically, the required power level must be handled well by converters to transmit power between primary and secondary sides [4], [5]. The problem is that the semiconductor device limitations limit the latest WPT system [6]. In addition, the low reliability of the WPT system is based on magnetic pairing with a single transmitter and receiver because it only has one energy transmission channel [7]. This is not suitable for applications that require power up to hundreds of KVA to MW. Therefore, WPT applications with various conditions including large incompatibilities must be able to meet the requirements with high efficiency transmission [8]. Lately, EV is one of the most common applications of WPT technology [9]. Abstract: Nowadays, the transportation changes are happening in the Electric Vehicle (EV). Changes are made from cable to Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) as a solution. Current state of the implementation, there is still a misalignment on Power Transfer Efficiency (PTE) because of parking behavior. To overcome the problem, we propose new coil design for better optimization of the PTE. In addition, the new design has better size reduction of receiver (Rx) coil. Our experimental research is about to simulate Rx and transmitter (Tx) designs in simple and small scale of parking situations. The results show that an incremental PTE in the center of the coil, an incremental PTE during misalignment on a radius array, and an incremental PTE during misalignment tangential boundary. We conclude that overall better PTE is achieved compared to single coil design and circular coil arrays.

    IEEE
Evolution of virtualization in data center is fast and is being widely used in the world. Usage of virtual machine (VM) in data center (DC) cannot be aside from problems such as: Operating System (OS) problem, virtual network, memory and CPU utilizations. Besides of those problems, utilization of VM can be found in cloud computing technology to make more efficient and its performance should be good entirely. Problem in VM is very complex. It can be found in OS, application and physical server. To keep it in good performance, operational engineer should operate VM monitoring system in order to keep VM run well. This research will use several methods, such as: fuzzy Mamdani, holdout validation and naive Bayes. These methods will then create decision making for VM performance condition.
