COMPARATIVE STUDY OF NIR-BASED MACHINE LEARNING FOR PREDICTING SOIL NUTRIENTS IN INDONESIAN FARMLANDS Adnan Adnan, Taufik Iqbal Ramdhani, Yaya Suryana, Abdul Aziz, Taslim Rochmadi, Amrullah Kamaruddin, Ninon Nurul Faiza Acta Technologica Agriculturae, 2026 This study evaluates the efficacy of machine learning models for predicting soil nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) concentrations from near-infrared (NIR) spectral data (750–2499 nm). A comparative analysis was conducted on models from three distinct categories: linear-based, non-linear kernel-based, and neural network-based, using data from 145 soil samples collected across four Indonesian provinces. Regularised linear modelling performed best: Ridge Regression achieved R ²/MAE of 0.999/0.00005% for N-Total, 0.868/0.01408% for P-Total, and 0.763/0.01239% for K-Total. The non-linear SVR delivered moderate fit ( R ² = 0.821 for N-Total) but produced the lowest MAE for K (0.00829%) at lower explained variance ( R ² = 0.419). Neural network-based models underperformed the linear baselines. This study demonstrates that, for this dataset, a simpler regularised linear model outperformed more complex architectures, underscoring the critical role of rigorous model selection in developing accurate spectroscopic tools for precision agriculture. Future research could explore hybrid or ensemble methods to combine the strengths of different model types, potentially improving prediction accuracy and robustness.
LHBKM: Lightweight Hierarchical Blockchain-Based Key Management in Dynamic MEC-Enabled IoT Networks Taufik Iqbal Ramdhani, Ruki Harwahyu, Riri Fitri Sari Proceedings of 2026 International Conference on Embedded Systems Mobile Communication and Computing Emc2 2026, 2026 The proliferation of dynamic and mobile internet of things (IoT) applications, including the internet of vehicles (IoV), internet of drones (IoD), and internet of gadgets (IoG), has introduced new challenges in secure and scalable public key management. This paper proposes LHBKM, a lightweight hierarchical blockchain-based public key management framework for interconnected mobile IoT supported by mobile edge computing (MEC) adopting a three-tier hierarchy to localize registration/verification at the edge while preserving global consistency via hierarchical anchoring. Key-registration transactions are authenticated using Boneh–Lynn–Shacham (BLS) signatures, while we comparatively evaluate three hash candidates: Ascon, BLAKE3, and Keccak (SHA3). Results show that BLAKE3 provides better overall efficiency, reducing computation time by 76.47% versus Keccak while also lowering communication and storage costs by 17.60% and 15.98%, respectively. Future work will explore the integration of deep reinforcement learning to enable intelligent key caching and longterm storage optimization.
Smart Farming in Indonesia: Behavioural Study on Adoption of Internet-Based Fertilisation Systems Susilawati, Setia Sari Girsang, Pandu Laksono, Arlyna Budi Pustika, Yanti Rina Darsani, Dorkas Parhusip, Twenty Liana, Amelia Sebayang, Agus Suprihatin, Indra Sakti, Hasil Sembiring, Alfonso Sitorus, Jeannette Maryanty Lumban Tobing, Tommy Purba, Taufik Iqbal Ramdhani, Yudha Purbawa, Novia Chairuman Acta Technologica Agriculturae, 2025 Providing precise fertilisation guidance is vital for improving productivity and reducing environmental risks, yet the adoption of precision fertiliser systems remains low. The study investigates farmers’ intentions to adopt an Internet-based rice fertiliser information system across three agroecosystems: irrigated (Yogyakarta), rainfed (North Sumatra), and tidal (Central Kalimantan), with 100 farmers from each region. Applying an extended version of the technology acceptance model and using PLS-SEM analysis, the findings showed that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and social norms are key determinants influencing individuals’ intention to adopt. Institutional trust also promotes adoption, while experience has no significant effect. These findings highlight the importance of trust and targeted training to boost farmers’ digital engagement with precision fertilisation technologies.

Landslide exposure analysis by utilizing big geodata in Bogor area, West Java Province of Indonesia Astisiasari Astisiasari, Wisyanto Wisyanto, Dian Melati, Sukristiyanti Sukristiyanti, Raditya Umbara, Yukni Arifianti, Trinugroho Trinugroho, Lian Andikasari, Taufik Ramdhani Journal of the Bulgarian Geographical Society, 2025 Landslide exposure is an adept approach to measuring the consequences of a landslide hazard on elements at risk. Landslides in the Bogor area, Province of West Java, Indonesia, have increased in number and consequences since 2015. The Bogor area also has a fairly large population that may aggravate the impact. Accordingly, this study aims to measure the landslide exposures over two substantial elements (i.e., population and land use). The actual resources for these exposed elements are available from the open-access geodata and the Google Earth Engine (GEE) platform. For the land use classification, this study employs two robust machine-learning (ML) algorithms on a GEE-based Object-based Image Analysis (OBIA), i.e., Random Forest (RF) and Gradient Tree Boosting (GTB). Moreover, the population data were retrieved from WorldPop estimates. Landslide exposures were then analyzed through an overlay between these two elements with a landslide hazard map sourced from the former study. The results show that in 2020, the Bogor area had an exposed population of 885,353 people, with Bogor Selatan District having the highest exposed population (135,475 people). Moreover, in 2021, the Bogor area had a total exposed land use reaching 347.9 km2, with built-up area having the most extensive, reaching 45.9% of the total exposed area. Here, Sukajaya District had the largest exposed land use (39.1 km2). This study is expected to reach multifaceted entities that contribute to strengthening landslide risk reduction. Through this spatial awareness of the highly exposed areas to landslides, mitigation measures can be taken accordingly.
Enhancing Maize Germplasm Selection for Genebanks: A Decision Support System Combining Shannon-Weaver Diversity Index and Machine Learning Adnan Adnan, Yaya Suryana, Abdul Aziz, Taslim Rochmadi, Arie Rakhman Hakim, Andari Risliawati, Arifuddin Kasim, Fahrodji Fahrodji, Amrullah Kamaruddin, Wenny Oktaviani, Laela Nuraini, Anugerah Fitri Amalia, Nizam Ghazali, Adim Hadi, Taufik Iqbal Ramdhani, Puji Lestari, Willy Bayuardi Suwarno, Trikosoemaningtyas Trikosoemaningtyas, Sobir Sobir International Journal of Design and Nature and Ecodynamics, 2024 While core collections offer various advantages, achieving a balance between representing genetic diversity and ensuring the practical manageability of the entire genebank collection is crucial. This study investigated the utility of the Shannon-Weaver diversity index and machine learning as a support system for the acceptability of new maize accessions into the genebank collection. This study examined 1279 maize germplasm accessions from the Agricultural Genebank Indonesia. The maize germplasm collection was divided into two parts. The first part, namely subset A, contains 600 accessions, which acted as original collections and were randomly selected for calculating the diversity values in each kernel character using the Shannon-Weaver diversity index. The second part, subset B, consisting of 679 accessions, was used to determine whether each accession was similar or different from subset A using an Excel macro-based application built by the authors.Principal component analysis (PCA) and Mahalanobis distances were used in the first step to identify outliers in data points with nine independent variables, namely kernel type, kernel color, presence of white cap, mottled type, kernel upper surface shape, kernel weight, kernel length, width, and thickness.Seventeen outlier samples, detected through PCA and Mahalanobis distances, were intentionally excluded from the dataset to ensure the integrity of subsequent machine learning analyses. The subset B was then divided into two parts to perform conventional and novel machine learning, i.e., linear discriminant analysis (LDA) and Tabnet. The results of this study show that the model's accuracy of LDA and TabNet were 89.36% and 86.4%, respectively.By integrating the Shannon-Weaver diversity index and machine learning methodologies, this research offers a comprehensive decision support system for guiding the acceptance of new maize accessions. The proposed system implies optimizing genebank strategies for the integrity and adaptability of maize germplasm collections.
SambalChain: Revolutionizing the Indonesian Chili Paste Supply Chain through Blockchain for Enhanced Traceability and Authenticity Muhammad Fajar Sidiq, Taufik Iqbal Ramdhani, Akbari Indra Basuki 2nd International Symposium on Information Technology and Digital Innovation Creative Trends in Sustainable Information Technology Design and Innovation Isitdi 2024, 2024 The Indonesian chili paste market, vital to both local and global cuisines, faces challenges such as adulteration, counterfeiting, and quality inconsistency that jeopardize consumer health and reduce market trust. Traditional supply chain management methods fail to adequately address these issues due to their fragmented nature and lack of robust traceability. To overcome these hurdles, this paper introduces SambalChain, a novel blockchain-based system designed specifically for the Indonesian chili paste industry. SambalChain utilizes Hyperledger Fabric to create a secure, decentralized platform that ensures the traceability and authenticity of each spice, which is crucial for preserving the unique characteristics and quality of chili paste. This system enhances transparency by documenting every transaction on the blockchain, from spice procurement to final product distribution. Using smart contracts, SambalChain automates compliance with food safety regulations, quality checks, and payment processes, significantly reducing the potential for fraud while improving operational efficiency. This paper details the architecture and the implementation of SambalChain, demonstrating its impact on the chili paste supply chain. Performance tests indicate that blockchain integration slightly increases response times, particularly under high-load conditions, significantly enhancing product traceability and security. It concludes with discussions on potential applications of this model in other sectors of Indonesian agriculture, aiming to set new standards for food safety and transparency.
Secure Vehicle Tracking Using Blockchain and IoV Akbari Indra Basuki, Muhammad Fajar Sidiq, Taufik Ibnu Salim, Arief Indriarto Haris, Taufik Iqbal Ramdhani, Ibrahim Danial Bisulthon Icsmech 2024 1st International Conference on Smart Mechatronics Transformative Innovations in Smart Mechatronics Bridging AI Robotics and Lot for A Sustainable Future, 2024 Vehicle tracking has become a mandatory feature in modern mobility. Nonetheless, the ownership and licensing rights of tracking data are mostly unclear or beyond the authority of the vehicle owners. This paper proposed a self-managed blockchain-driven vehicle tracking that considers the owner as the central actor who owns and authorizes vehicle trajectory data. We use data partitioning schema to encrypt vehicle trajectory data and store them in distributed storage. The implementation takes the form of a system service run within the Internet-on-Vehicle (IoV) system. The proposed method is secure against brute-force attacks since each data partition has its unique password. In addition, the encryption schema enables a flexible licensing authority for the owner without sharing the entire trajectory data. The proposed method is affordable requiring only 328 hex digits per transaction that result in 0.5 and 3 USD monthly fee for hourly recap using Celo and Polygon networks.
