  • Cylindrically symmetric cosmological model in the presence of bulk stress with varying λ
    V G METE, A S NIMKAR, and V D ELKAR

Springer Science and Business Media LLC
Cylindrically symmetric non-static space–time is investigated in the presence of bulk stress given by Landau and Lifshitz. To get a solution, a supplementary condition between metric potentials is used. The viscosity coefficient of the bulk viscous fluid is assumed to be a power function of mass density whereas the coefficient of shear viscosity is considered as proportional to the scale of expansion in the model. Also some physical and geometrical properties of the model are discussed.

  • Axially Symmetric Cosmological Model with Bulk Stress in Saez-Ballester Theory of Gravitation
    V. G. Mete, A. S. Nimkar, and V. D. Elkar

Springer Science and Business Media LLC
An Axially symmetric non-static space time is considered in presence of bulk stress in scalar tensor theory formulated by Saez and Ballester (Phys. Lett. A113, 467 1985). For solving the field equations, relation between metric potential and shear velocity is proportional to scale expansion are used. Also various physical and geometrical properties of the model have been discussed.

  • Higher Dimensional Plane Symmetric Cosmological Models with Two-Fluid Source in General Relativity
    V. G. Mete, V. M. Umarkar, and A. M. Pund

Springer Science and Business Media LLC
We consider anisotropic, homogeneous two-fluid plane symmetric cosmological models in higher dimensions. Here one fluid represents the matter content of the universe and another fluid is chosen to model the CMB (cosmic microwave background) radiation. The radiation and matter content of the universe are in interactive phase. Also we have discussed the behaviour of fluid parameters and kinematical parameters.

  • Kasner Cosmological Models with Two-Fluid Source in General Relativity
    V. G. Mete, V. M. Umarkar, and A. M. Pund

Springer Science and Business Media LLC
In this paper we present Bianchi type-I metric of the Kasner form describing two-fluid source of the universe in general relativity. In Kasner cosmological models one fluid is a radiation field modeling the cosmic microwave background, while the other is a matter field, modeling material content of the universe. The radiation and matter content of the universe are in interactive phase. We have also presented anisotropic, homogeneous nature of Kasner cosmological models with two-fluid. The behavior of fluid parameters and kinematical parameters of the models are also discussed.

  • A higher-dimensional Bianchi type-I inflationary Universe in general relativity
    S D KATORE, K S ADHAV, V G METE, and A Y SHAIKH

Springer Science and Business Media LLC
A five-dimensional Bianchi type-I inflationary Universe is investigated in the presence of massless scalar field with a flat potential. To get an inflationary Universe, a flat region in which the potential V is constant is considered. Some physical and kinematical properties of the Universe are also discussed.

  • Einstein-Rosen universe with wet dark fluid in general relativity
    K. S. Adhav, V. G. Mete, R. S. Thakare, and A. M. Pund

Springer Science and Business Media LLC
Field equations in the presence of wet dark fluid distribution are obtained in general relativity with the aid of Einstein-Rosen cylindrically symmetric metric.A static vacuum model and non-static stiff fluid model are investigated. The physical and geometrical properties of the stiff fluid model are also studied.

  • Axially symmetric bianchi type-i model with massless scalar field and cosmic strings in barber's self-creation cosmology
    K. S. Adhav, A. S. Nimkar, V. G. Mete, and M. V. Dawande

Springer Science and Business Media LLC
Axially symmetric Bianchi type-I space time is considered in the presence of massless scalar field and cosmic strings in Barber’s (Gen. Relativ. Gravit. 14:117, 1982) self-creation theory with two conditions (i) A=Bn and (ii) ε+λ=0. Some physical and kinematical properties of the model, thus obtained, are also discussed.

  • Kantowski-Sachs cosmological model in general theory of relativity
    K. S. Adhav, V. G. Mete, A. S. Nimkar, and A. M. Pund

Springer Science and Business Media LLC
The field equations for perfect fluid coupled with massless scalar field are solved with two conditions p=ρ and R=ASn for Kantowski-Sachs space time in general theory of relativity. Various physical and geometrical properties of the model have also been discussed.

  • Bianchi type-III cosmological model in four- and five-dimensional bimetric theory of relativity
    K. S. Adhav, G. S. Khadekar, and V. G. Mete

Springer Science and Business Media LLC
Four- and five-dimensional Bianchi type-III cosmological model in Rosen (1980) bimetric theory of gravitation is considered. Restricting to a particular type of background metric, it is observed that the Bianchi type-III cosmological model does not exist in case of both meson field and mesonic perfect fluid. Hence only vacuum model can be obtained.
