  • Artificial Intelligence based Security Orchestration, Automation and Response System
Rahul Vast, Shruti Sawant, Aishwarya Thorbole, and Vishal Badgujar

    IEEE
Cybersecurity is becoming very crucial in the today's world where technology is now not limited to just computers, smartphones, etc. It is slowly entering into things that are used on daily basis like home appliances, automobiles, etc. Thus, opening a new door for people with wrong intent. With the increase in speed of technology dealing with such issues also requires quick response from security people. Thus, dealing with huge variety of devices quickly will require some extent of automation in this field. Generating threat intelligence automatically and also including those which are multilingual will also add plus point to prevent well known major attacks. Here we are proposing an AI based SOAR system in which the data from various sources like firewalls, IDS, etc. is collected with individual event profiling using a deep-learning detection method. For this the very first step is that the collected data from different sources will be converted into a standardized format i.e. to categorize the data collected from different sources. For standardized format Here our system finds out about the true positive alert for which the appropriate/ needful steps will be taken such as the generation of Indicators of Compromise report and the additional evidences with the help of Security Information and Event Management system. The security alerts will be notified to the security teams with the degree of threat.

  • Artificial Intelligence based Self-Driving Car
Hiral Thadeshwar, Vinit Shah, Mahek Jain, Rujata Chaudhari, and Vishal Badgujar

    IEEE
The paper proposes a self-driving car model also called autonomous, robotic or driver-less car is one that operates and navigates using its intelligence. The basic idea behind the paper is to develop a 1/10 scale RC car to portray an automated car. The model consists of the following software and hardware components such as CNN (Convolutional neural network), Monocular vision algorithm, Haar cascade classifier, Raspberry Pi Board model B+, Pi camera, Arduino, and an Ultrasonic sensor. The Pi camera and ultrasonic sensor are attached to the raspberry pi board to collect input images along with sensor data to stream these data to the server which in our case is the laptop. The (CNN) convolutional neural network running on the server will be used to enable lane detection to provide steering predictions that are left, right, forward based on the input image. The haar cascade classifier will be used to detect signals and stop sign and monocular vision algorithms to calculate distance from them. The ultrasonic sensor will be used for front collision avoidance by stopping the car at a certain distance before the obstacle ahead. The navigation commands such as right, left, forward, stop will be sent to the car through Arduino which is connected to the RC car's remote, this will make the car drive autonomously based on neural network predictions and some hard coded rules. Thus this model will enable autonomous driving by self-navigation via lane detection, stopping at detection of stop signs, red lights and moving on green signal and front collision avoidance in a cost-effective manner. Hardcoded rules, obstacle avoidance mechanisms, machine learning models, and smart object discrimination will help the system follow traffic rules and navigate the car using artificial intelligence.

  • Study on Semi Automation in Uniform Faculty Appraisal System
Utkarsh Naik, Debashish Choudhury, Anagha Devade, Anagha Aher, and Vishal Badgujar

    IEEE
Appraisal system is vital in ensuring the quality of human resources in any organization. Every organization strives for a reliable and efficient appraisal process to ensure timely and productive decisions. In educational institutes, the quality of faculties and teaching process have a direct impact on the performance and ranking of the institute. Traditionally, appraisal process in educational institutes is manual which consumes considerable amount of time and cost. While a fully automated appraisal system can save time and greatly improve the efficiency of the appraisal process, it doesn't provide the discretion to higher authorities for appraisal related decision making. Also, as there is no uniform appraisal process, an in-house automated appraisal system will have a lot of cost involved for development, maintenance and upgradation of the system. Our proposed system is a semi automated uniform appraisal system for educational institutes which works on a combined approach of automation with human intervention.

  • Case Study on an Android App for Inventory Management System with Sales Prediction for Local Shopkeepers in India
Tejal Tandel, Sayali Wagal, Nisha Singh, Rujata Chaudhari, and Vishal Badgujar

    IEEE
The retail sector has widely adapted different inventory management applications and some retail chains even employ prediction software to analyze future sales. However, a lot of day-to-day shopping in India happens through local shops. The owners of such mom-and-pop shops do not necessarily have the capital to invest in proprietary applications for setting up an inventory management system. Needless to say that same is the case for any sales prediction software. As a result, many of the shopkeepers end up hoarding a lot of irrelevant and nonprofitable products that lead to financial losses. A very cost-effective and accessible solution for this problem is a mobile application that provides all the features of a point-of-sale system as well as gives future sales insights. It will enable shopkeepers to manage their current product purchases and invoicing. The predictive sales analysis will help them to modify their investments on products and supplies thereby ensuring maximum profits. If a shop houses relevant products that cater to customer needs, its customer reach will increase. The Economic Times published an article in the May of 2019, which stated that the number of smartphone users in India is expected to rise by 84% to 859 million by 2022 from 468 million in 2017. It is safe to assume that a large population of shop owners will have smartphones in the following years. Hence, equipping the local shopkeepers with a mobile application will prove instrumental since it will give them exposure to all the aforementioned benefits.

  • Autonetics and administration for IT laboratories
    V. Karthikeyan, Uddhabendra Maity, Atharv Shetty, Sameer Nanivadekar, and Vishal Badgujar

    IEEE
Majority of IT labs in today's academic institutions face operational issues in the management of multiple systems simultaneously. The best example would be when a particular software needs to be installed in the labs, it becomes a tedious and time consuming process for the lab assistant to manually install the software in each and every system in the lab. Also in some cases where the students forget to shutdown their respective computers, it becomes the responsibility of the lab assistant to shutdown the PCs manually. These challenges cause lack of access control and inadequate security. Moreover, there is lot of work pressure which leads to sub-optimal work schedules. To keep track of access records of the systems, we would also be designing a web-based GUI which records and displays the access information of PCs too. Thus a well thought out design for automating these various operational tasks inside the IT lab environments has been implemented and worked upon. In this paper we've discussed the roles and benefits of automating the IT labs for the students as well as lab instructors.

  • Study on feasibility of Uniform Appraisal System
Utkarsh Naik, Debashish Choudhury, Anagha Devade, Anagha Aher, and Vishal Badgujar

    IEEE
An appraisal system is an integral part of any organization having salaried employees like banks, IT companies, educational institutes, etc. Due to change in industrial pattern, creating and forging a ground rule for evaluation process of an organization is important. The main focus is to study the changing pattern, observe it and accordingly predict the quality & performance aspect, this will help to analyze the employee’s specification or parameters like growth rate, interest area etc. It ensures and maintain quality of workforce in an organization. The three paramount aspects of the evaluation process are work capacity, moral ethics and knowledge interest. These aspects can be evaluated through supervised or unsupervised data mining algorithms depending upon the case. These algorithms require considerable amount of processing power and time which increases as the data increases. The main focus of this project is to create a common platform of evaluation for all the domains mentioned above. This will also extend the facility of appraising the employees of the domain. We intend to provide multiple methods for all domains so that specific domain can use particular method for their appraisal system.
