Almagul Cheirkhanova, Jappar Juman, Manat Yezhebekov, Aiymzhan Makulova, Assel Khamzayeva, Yeldar Zhuman
    Sustainability Switzerland, 2025
In an increasingly competitive construction industry, quality management systems (QMSs) play a critical role in improving operational performance and customer satisfaction. Despite growing interest, limited research has examined how customer-oriented QMSs affect financial and non-financial outcomes in construction firms, particularly in emerging markets such as Kazakhstan. This study investigates the relationship between QMS implementation and company performance by analyzing data from 23 Kazakhstani construction companies. The methodology combines regression analysis, multivariate analysis, and k-means clustering to assess the impact of QMSs on sales volume, product profitability, quality management costs, and customer satisfaction. Regression analysis revealed that customer satisfaction (CSL), product profitability (PP), and economic efficiency of the QMS (EEQMS) have a statistically significant positive effect on sales volume (SV), while excessive quality costs (QMC) may negatively influence performance if not optimized. Cluster analysis further identified distinct groups of companies with varying levels of QMS effectiveness and profitability. This study offers empirical evidence on the financial value of customer-oriented QMSs in the construction sector. It contributes to the literature by highlighting performance drivers in QMS implementation and provides practical recommendations for managers and policymakers to improve quality strategies in similar regional contexts.

Xuan Zhai, Jappar Juman, Aiymzhan Tulegenovna Makulova, Assel Valitkhanovna Khamzayeva, Binghan Du
    Economies, 2024
The relationship between energy consumption and economic development is one of the primary indicators for elaborating energy policies. Different countries are at different stages of economic development and have different levels of energy consumption. Since independence, Kazakhstan’s economic development has gone through three stages: the unstable stage (1992–2000), the stage of rapid development (2001–2013), and the stage of stable development (2014–present). Kazakhstan’s economy is shifting from an industry-led economy to a service-led economy, thus, the relationship between energy consumption and economic growth also changes. By analyzing the data on energy consumption and GDP during 1992–2023, it was found that a 1% growth of GDP caused a 0.3972% growth of energy consumption in Kazakhstan on average. Due to the long period of economic influence on energy consumption, Kazakhstan could realize the adjustment of the energy consumption structure without affecting economic development by eliminating fossil energy subsidies, reducing taxes on projects for the development of renewable energy, and increasing energy-saving facilities.

Binghan Du, Jappar Juman, Aiymzhan Tulegenovna Makulova, Assel Valitkhanovna Khamzayeva, Xuan Zhai
    Economies, 2024
The oil and gas trade is one of the main ways to promote regional economic development by improving the effectiveness of resource allocation. While regional energy cooperation could lead to growth in the energy trade, blind investment will reduce effective yields. Kazakhstan and China maintain a stable oil and gas trade, but resource exports to China are not growing as expected. The aim of this research is to analyze the competitiveness and complementarity of Kazakhstan and China in the oil and gas trade, as well as the main factors affecting the oil and gas trade between Kazakhstan and China. By creating a linear regression equation to analyze the gravity model of the oil and gas trade between Kazakhstan and China, it was revealed that a 1% growth of the gross domestic product in both countries would lead to a 1.471% increase in the oil and gas trade. However, an increase in oil and gas production in Kazakhstan will not contribute to the expansion of the oil and gas trade with China. Kazakhstan and China could improve their oil and gas trade by strengthening financial cooperation, improving energy efficiency, increasing investment in infrastructure such as oil refineries and pipelines, and developing new oil and gas fields in Kazakhstan.

Eastern European Journal of Enterprise Technologies, 2022
This paper reports the results of experiments and studies involving different types of devices that can implement a BadUSB scenario, for example, BadUSB, Rubber Ducky, which, when connected to a computer, impersonate a device with a Human Interface Device, emulating other devices such as a keyboard and mouse. Given the problem of the lack of management tools for detecting preliminary modifications of USB devices against attacks based on the seizure of computer control, a software and hardware system is proposed as an object of study. It is implemented programmatically in the Arduino IDE environment, and physically it is made on the Arduino Mega board with Shield, which reads the parameters of the devices. It monitors the startup of USB devices and checks each device for pre-retrofitting by passing HID descriptors from the connected hardware. Having parsed the data using Python, the data are represented in the appropriate form for analysis, on the basis of which a decision is made by the system on the possible preliminary modification of the USB drive from which these data came. This is due to the detailed consideration and thorough analysis of data, data types, temporal characteristics of data transmitted along different channels. The technical characteristics and functionality of USB devices were investigated; the parameters transmitted at the moment when they are supplied with power were determined. The system can draw a conclusion based on the analysis according to its algorithm and block a suspicious USB device that has been connected and that can intercept control over the computer. The results of the study could be used in the field of protection of information systems from attacks based on the seizure of control from external media. The designed solution increases the level of security of the system, making it possible to recognize a possibly pre-modified device at the connection stage

    E3s Web of Conferences, 2021
The paper considers models of optimal distribution of fertilizers and vehicles in grain production. To ensure the delivery of fertilizer to the destination for the chemical treatment agriculture, the optimal distribution of fertilizers in grain production was solved. On the basis of optimal models, the needs of vehicles for servicing these works are determined. As calculations show, the cost of acquiring machines and operating costs can be reduced by 20-30% due to the correct selection and use of equipment. This made it possible to distribute mineral fertilizers between farms in accordance with the characteristics of their soils. With the help of ground equipment, mineral fertilizers are applied, chemical pest and plant disease control is carried out, weed vegetation is destroyed in grain crops. The optimal plan for the use of machine and tractor fleet can only be determined using optimization methods, since the composition of machines and tractors and their possible use have such a large number of options that it is almost impossible to simply sort them out and select the best. Further, the algorithm and the solution to the problem of optimal distribution of vehicles in grain production are considered.
