    He presents the various cases where the measurement of cutting forces in fast transitory mode is necessary. He exposes also a method of compensation of inertial effects which denatures the signals provided by the most used piezoelectric dynamometers. The possibilities of this method, based on the accelerations measurements of the upper part of the dynamometer, are exposed for the case of a discontinuous turning process. It is shown that the undesirable effects related to the resonance frequencies of the dynamometer and to its base movements are mainly eliminated.
  • CFRP drilling model: Fiber orientation influence on mechanical load and delamination

    This paper presents a combined experimental and theoretical investigation and proposes a mechanical load modeling of a multidirectional layer CFRP drilling to avoid fibers delamination by a better choice of their orientations. A first step consists in working with unidirectional CFRP to correlate cutting mode (opening, shear and bending) with force level depending on the angular tool position. The discretisation of the cutting edge is employed to know the exact contribution of each elementary part of the edge, resulting in a complete drill operation modeling (tip penetration, full engagement and exit). A second step consists in using this unidirectional approach to model a multidirectional layer CFRP drilling. In this case, layers are cut simultaneously which induce brutal mechanical load variation. A summation method is used to estimate the force level depending on fiber arrangement. Optimal orientation combinations are underlined by this approach, in order to improve the CFRP design, by considering the manufacturing concerns.

    On propose de determiner dans quelles conditions apparaissent des vibrations auto-entretenues (broutement). Pour cela, on utilise la simulation du comportement dynamique d'un systeme d'usinage et une loi de force de coupe est obtenue par une methode indirecte, en comparant les resultats de la simulation a ceux issus de l'experimentation.

    L'usinage des formes complexes est une caracteristique de la fabrication des moules et des matrices. Du fait que les formes deviennent de plus en plus compliquees, les moules et les matrices ont des formes qui sont de plus en plus complexes et exigent des tolerances qui sont particulierement severes. L'un des principaux objectifs a atteindre est la precision de l'usinage et l'amelioration de l'etat micro-geometrique des surfaces usinees en finition, en vue de la minimisation des operations de polissage apres usinage qui sont encore necessaires pour l'obtention d'une piece finie exigee par le monde de l'industrie automobile ou aeronautique. Pour atteindre ces objectifs, il est important de choisir un outil qui repond aux exigences d'un usinage pouvant se realiser dans differentes orientations. Ceci va permettre d'usiner des pieces de formes complexes a l'aide d'une fraiseuse a plusieurs axes. Parmi les outils permettant la realisation de ce travail, il y a la fraise hemispherique. Le but de ce travail est donc d'etudier la geometrie de la partie spherique de la fraise, afin de determiner a chaque instant les zones de contact entre la piece de forme complexe et l'outil qui suit une trajectoire dans l'espace.
