The rapid growth of generative models has led to the creation of convincing fake media. This raises concerns about the spread of misinformation and the loss of trust in digital content. As a result, developing effective and accurate methods for detecting deepfakes is essential in digital forensics. This paper presents a lightweight and clear deepfake detection framework that uses the extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) algorithm. Instead of depending on complex deep convolutional network representations, this system focuses on learning from specific features. It extracts important facial and texture-based descriptors from the FaceForensics++ dataset to classify media as real or fake. By modeling the complex, non-linear relationships between these features, XGBoost can detect subtle, systematic inconsistencies that occur during the forgery process. One significant benefit of this model is its natural interpretability. Through feature importance analysis, it clearly shows how each feature affects the final classification. Experimental results demonstrate that this framework achieves high accuracy in detection with a peak Accuracy of 94.8% and an F1-score of 94.7% while keeping a low computational cost, making it well-suited for real-world media authentication systems. Overall, the XGBoost-based approach provides a reliable balance between performance, clarity, and efficiency in detecting deepfake images and videos.

  • Nature-Inspired Algorithms for Computational Intelligence Theory—A State-of-the-Art Review
    B. Akoramurthy, K. Dhivya, B. Surendiran
Computational Intelligence Theory and Applications, 2024
The history of computational intelligence can be traced back to several decades ago. Several technologies such as evolutionary computation, neural networks, and fuzzy systems were fused together to be called CI technologies. Nature-inspired algorithms, which are more adaptable and effective at addressing optimization issues, have changed over time. Many different types of nature-inspired algorithms are now being developed, and the majority of them are focused on self-organizing communities of nature and optimization issues. This article gives a state-of-the-art assessment of a few popular optimization techniques. Its key traits have been examined and compared to other established methods like gradient-based and gradient-free algorithms. Additionally, certain unresolved issues with optimization and metaheuristics methods were identified, which should be helpful for further work.

Digital Twins in Industrial Production and Smart Manufacturing an Understanding of Principles Enhancers and Obstacles, 2024
Risk-free management is critical for achieving human-centric industrialization, as envisioned by Factory 5.0, which calls for the unification of man-machine and working environment safety, which is knowledge-oriented. Occupational safety in factories has come a long way, but there is still a long way to go before it catches up. In order to do that we define three issues that must be tackled: the use of the existing safety methods and management strategies, identifying and assessing the cause of risky situations, and being able to provide insights into the intricate interplay of man-machine interaction context. To solve the identified issues, a reasoning technique grounded on digital twins (DTs) is proposed for industrially risky situations. First, we present the inference engine framework, which deduces a fresh fact from the old one, followed by a visual representation of the ontology of risky situations or states of a working environment. Following the generation of the digital datasets, a high-fidelity DT was developed to mimic all potentially dangerous circumstances. After that, the digital dataset is combined with the original dataset for schooling and examining the identified system, which senses risky or hazardous situations connected to the inference framework for reasoning. Finally, a trial shows that the recommended practice methods are capable of addressing the identified three issues.

UAV: a shortened form for Unmanned Autonomous Vehicle, but also a simpler method of solving complex tasks in military and civil applications such as ocean farming, etc. The chapter provides context and milieu for unmanned aircraft or drones and their systems, such as communication systems, with an emphasis on commercial or user applications. It talks about the types of drones or aircraft petroleum, load size, fastness, and durability. Also, it reflects the current trends in flight engineering and technical aspects of drones and their communication systems and the benefits of drones and their networks, which will also include boosted spatial cognizance and concentrated delay in drone communications among their systems. The chapter exhibits the various applications of drones, possibilities of new study, and the problems or challenges involved in scheming, emerging, and installing aircraft systems, and a plan for investigating drone systems. The chapter charts the technical challenges and various optimised parameters of drone systems and discusses several drone projects that have been established over the last few years. Models of mobile drone systems were fleetingly debated.
  • A blockchain approach to improving digital linked Management Information Systems (MIS)
    B. Akoramurthy, K. Dhivya, G. Vennira Selvi, M. Prasad
Data Driven Blockchain Ecosystem Fundamentals Applications and Emerging Technologies, 2022
In the era of intelligent automation (industry 5.0), every Management Information System (MIS) espouses with disruptive technologies such as deep learning, big data and artificial intelligence and will be able to do real time data manipulation that raises a new range of novelties, newer business processes and models and larger business perfections. MIS are commonly managed by particular organizations which exhibit the central control and participants are limited to the organization itself whereas blockchain systems are managed in a distributed environment which exhibits public control and anyone can join and partake. Conversely, the amalgamation of MIS with blockchain will enjoy the shield of blockchain Trinity (Decentralization, Trust & Immutability). Traditional MIS are the participatory social web kind we are currently using, whereas the proposed digital linked Management Information System based on blockchain incorporates its merits. This chapter comes out with the framework of integrating traditional MIS web 2.0 applications with web 3.0 digital linked advanced metadata applications. Furthermore, the work consists of upgraded PINSI algorithm for a transaction process and a new smart contract was implemented to trade-off. The new smart contracts diminish the amount of data and improves query efficiency. Finally, an information query system has been added as a new feature in the proposed system and after being examined the middling time for every query is 30.210 milliseconds in the blockchain system which has greater performance and improved query efficiency.
