  • Neuro-Linguistic Programming as an Instructional Strategy to Enhance Foreign Language Teaching

    Teachers of foreign languages use various methods and resources to facilitate interaction between themselves and their pupils. Research into the communicative aspects of teaching and learning foreign languages has benefited from recent breakthroughs attributable to the progress made in Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP). This research delves into using Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) in the classroom to better instructors' communicative abilities with their students. This paper concentrates on the implementation of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) in learning a foreign language. in a bid to discover flaws and issues pertaining to the traditional mechanism of learning. The use of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) in the teaching of Foreign Language (FL) has a great deal of promise due to the fact that the effectiveness of NLP has been shown by the progress that a number of nations have achieved as a result of its application. A questionnaire was distributed to 150 foreign language instructor who were chosen at random from a variety of high schools. This allowed for the collection of information on teachers' preparedness. The findings of the study revealed that a larger proportion of foreign language instructors possess comparable understanding of NLP. Furthermore, the majority of these instructors demonstrated optimistic reactions and a readiness to utilize NLP in the classroom when instructing students in foreign languages. The level of information that each person had influenced how they thought. Thus, instructors who had a deeper understanding of NLP had a greater interest in and motivation for the application of the theory in foreign language settings. The findings of this research demonstrate how NLP may assist both instructors and students in accomplishing their objectives learning a foreign language.
  • Development of a microcontroller-based instrument for measuring liquid density

    The purpose of this research was to develop a practical tool to measure the density of liquids. This research was a research and development research that referred to the development model of Borg and Gall. The research instrument used was a questionnaire with a 4-Likert scale. Evaluation phase included the assessment of media validator, students’ responses, and laboratory test. The product quality data obtained were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The quality of the product based on the analysis of the media expert’s assessment obtained a value of 3.30 which was in very good category. Meanwhile, the results of student responses in the limited-testing obtained a value of 3.30 which showed that they strongly agree with the product’s usability. The test results and questionnaire analysis indicated that the microcontroller-based density determination practicum tool developed was feasible to use. From the experimental results, the density value of water was 0.95 gr/cm3 with a standard deviation of ±0.044 and a relative uncertainty value of 0.22%. The density value for salt water was 1.04 gr/cm3 with a standard deviation of ±0.011, compared with the literature which is 1.10 gr/cm3. Moreover, the density of coconut oil measured was 0.76 gr/cm3 with a standard deviation of ±0.045, while the literature is 0.84.
  • Understanding the change of small business customers neurobehavior affected by the outbreak of corona virus 2019 in Indonesia

    This qualitative study aimed to understand the changes in the neurobehavior of small business customers as a result of national social distance policies in response to stop the spread of the Corona virus 2019 pandemic in Indonesia. The effort to stop the spread of Covid-19 is believed to have a close relationship with changes in the buying decision neurobehavior of all small business customers globally including Indonesian businesses. To help understand this change and its complexity caused by national social distance policy, there are a series of observations and in-depth interview sessions with some Indonesian culinary connoisseurs. After the data is collected, the process of analysis using qualitative phenomenological techniques and in-depth interpretations to see changes in collective neurobehavior meets the reliability and validity of research questions. Strengthening existing information on responses from changes in the neurobehavior of small business customers, the results revealed that the 15 voices of local customers interviewed from different neurobehavioral perspectives, incentives and perspectives have shown relatively significant changes related to government policies regarding social distance during local lockouts. Based on some previous observations; the study of neurobehavioral change resulting from covid-19 has given a big impact for small business decision makers. The results of this investigation can be divided into three parts; First, changes in customer neurobehavior in support of the national policy of closing the crowd, including the market. Second, concerns of small business people that small businesses have difficulty helping customers buy less what they only need rather want. Third, the customers are more shop from home using digital especially those in city areas. Therefore, direct input from the community is very useful in making the next policy to respond to community-related actions with entrepreneurial participation in government actions against the corona-virus epidemic. Then further research will be needed as supporting research evidence to anticipate the spread of the 2019 corona virus.
