Musediq Olufemi Lawal is a Senior Lecturer on Sabbatical Leave in the Department of Criminology and Security Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He was formerly the Head of Sociology and Criminology Department, Osun State University, Osogbo, Nigeria. He has over seventy publications in reputable outlets covering journals, chapters in book and conference proceedings. His teaching and research areas include Deviance and Social Problem, Health, Cultural Anthropology, Population and Development. Dr. Lawal is a CODESRIA Child and Youth Institute Laureate and belongs to a number of professional associations such as Nigeria Anthropological and Sociological Practitioners Association (NASA), Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA), The International Union for the Scientific Study of Population (IUSSP), France, Hospitality and Tourism Management Association of Nigeria (HATMAN), and The International Ecotourism Society (TIES).
