Mr. Neeraj Kumar is an Assistant Professor at
CMS Business School, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Bengaluru.
He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and
Quality Management from Delhi Technological University (DTU),
New Delhi. He holds an M.Tech. in Manufacturing and Automation
from Maharishi Dayanand University, an MBA in Human Resource
Management and Organizational Behaviour from Guru
Jambheshwar University, and a B.Tech. in Industrial Engineering
from Kurukshetra University, Haryana.
With over sixteen years of diversified experience spanning
academia, research, and industry, Mr. Kumar has established himself as a scholar and
practitioner in the fields of Total Quality Management (TQM), Operations Management, and
Industrial Engineering. Before entering academia, he worked with reputed organizations such
as Roulunds Braking (India) Pvt. Ltd. and Munjal Showa Ltd., where he gained first-hand

Total quality management

This research analytically investigates the role of reduced cost of quality (CoQ) in associating economic growth, performance excellence, and sustainable development in manufacturing systems. It also reconceptualizes CoQ as a strategic performance construct within quality management and sustainability. Development of strategic quality management and conventional CoQ philosophy, an integrated model is established connecting strategic management (β = 0.142), organizational culture (β = 0.148), quality assurance (β = 0.147), and supplier relationship management (β = 0.358) to reduce CoQ its downstream effects. An analytical model is developed through SmartPLS-SEM results obtained from 350 plus expert opinions; the results show that mediation analysis discloses that competitive advantage complements the association between CoQ and sustainable development although performance excellence intermediates the impact of CoQ on economic growth.
