Alex Morenikeji AKANMU is a Mathematics Educator and Senior Faculty member. He is a registered teacher (MTRCN), member of the Mathematical Association of Nigeria (MAN), Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN); Science Association of Nigeria (SAN) and Institute of Planning (IPN), Nigeria (Faculty: Academic Planning) among others. Akanmu has earned a number of awards & prizes notable among which are Osun State Cooperative College Best Graduating Student; the University of Ilorin Varsity Leadership Award. He was a member of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) Expanded Executive Committee - Unilorin Chapter from 2013- 2015 and, later Asst Secretary-General of the Union, 2016 – 2018. Served as Secretary-General - Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) - University of Ilorin Chapter, 2018 - 2021. He was the Chief Examiner, National Teachers’ Institute (Mathematics) Bachelor’s Degree programme, 2015 -2018. He is the immediate past Sub-Dean, Student Affairs, Univ of Ilorin.
