Beatriz Medori completed her PhD in History and Philosophy of Science at the Interuniversity Centre for the History of Science and Technology in 2025. Her project adopts a multidisciplinary approach, combined with Art History and Visual Studies to analyse the material and visual culture of Portuguese oncology during the Estado Novo regime (1932-1974), based on its historical relationship with modernism and fascism, and its appropriation of international formats through diplomatic and philanthropic networks, with a special focus on Portuguese relations with the USA. She has published on these and other topics in international journals and other platforms.
