  • Responsible AI-Enhanced Labor Market Forecasting System for Policy Decision Support
Ratnesh Chandra Sharma, Anjali Sankar, Abdullah Abed Hussein, RouaidaKadhim A. Al-Hussein, Manimalathi P, Ayasha Siddiqua
Proceedings 2025 International Conference on Recent Innovation in Science Engineering and Technology Icriset 2025, 2025
This paper is to propose a Responsible AI-Enhanced Labor Market Forecasting System that would aid in the fair and conscious policy making. To mitigate bias in labor market data the system applies fairness-aware preprocessing employing the reweighing technique within the IBM AI Fairness 360 (AIF360). Extraction of features is done in a hybrid method by using mutual information with domain-based knowledge so that it is both statistically significant and has policy implications. The forecast is constructed based on the Causal Forest algorithm that allows getting high-quality predictions and simultaneously takes into account the heterogeneous impact of the policy interventions on the employment indicators. The empirical findings indicate that the suggested system is more accurate, fair, and transparent than the traditional models and is both less discriminating and has a high predictive performance. With AIF360, bias and fairness are monitored continuously and this increases accountability. The study can add a generalizable, ethically agreeable model of implementing AI in labor economics, which is likely to enhance the effectiveness of the public policy and social fairness.
  • A Structural Design for Labor Market System Which Optimizes the Disruptions in the Process through AI Adoption
    P. Manimalathi, S. Rekha, Ayadh Al-Khalidi, Maki Mahdi Abdulhasan, Baydaa Sh. Z. Abood, D.Sudhir Babu
2024 4th International Conference on Advance Computing and Innovative Technologies in Engineering Icacite 2024, 2024
Recent decades have seen a quick development of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and their integration into many spheres of human life, substantially influencing labor markets all over the world. Below is given a complete comparative analysis on the impacts of AI adoption in both developed and developing economies. This paper identifies the nuanced dynamics of disruptions in the labor market on account of the adoption of AI. We, therefore, look to an investigation of contextual differences within diverse economic contexts from a multidisciplinary perspective made up of economics, sociology, and technology studies. The first section of this paper summarizes the theoretical frameworks seeking a relationship between the adoption of AI and labor market disruptions. Drawing from existing literature, we highlight mechanisms through which AI technologies reconfigure jobs, job structures, job requirements for skills, and patterns of employment. The main mechanisms along which AI influences labor demand, the character of the jobs being offered, and, in aggregate, economic opportunities of individual agents can be summarized by automation, augmentation, and reconfiguration. From there, we will analyze the impacts of adopting AI in both developed and developing economies. This helps in underlining these divergent trajectories and outcomes, resulting from differences in the techno-readiness, institutional frameworks, and socio-economic context through the use of empirical evidence and case studies.
