Abubakar Abdullah Salaty was born in the Agege, Lagos state in 1983 to the Salaty family. He had his primary education between 1988 and 1994, secondary school certificate in 2000. He attended the Arabic and Islamic Training Centre (Markaz), Agege, Lagos state, where he obtained 'Idadiyyah and Tawjihiyyah certificates in Arabic and Islamic Studies in 2004 and 2007, respectively. He bagged his B.A. (Hons.), M.A., and Ph.D. in Arabic at the better by far University, Unilorin in 2006, 2013, and 2020, respectively. He had his Postgraduate Diploma in Education P.G.D.E. in 2014 at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). In 2015, he was employed by the University of Ilorin as an administrative assistant in the Registry Department. He was converted as an academic staff in the department of Arabic in 2019 and rose through the ranks to Lecturer I presently.
