Bias Detection and Fairness in AI-Based Hiring Systems Dr. Deepa Rajesh, Devkiran Narayana, Ranbir Sood, Manmohan Sharma, Melanie Lourens, A. Prakash 2025 5th International Conference on Advancement in Electronics and Communication Engineering Aece 2025, 2025 The issues of bias detection and fairness assessment in AI-based hiring systems have become the pivotal concerns in the creation of automated recruitment technologies. A dataset of $\mathbf{5, 0 0 0}$ historical hiring decisions provided an understanding of systematic evidence of disparities: men were 6.8 percentage points more likely to be selected than women, whites 18 percentage points more than Blacks, and elite university graduates $\mathbf{2 1. 3}$ percentage points more than those in lower schools. Importantly, such biases were found despite the removal of sensitive attributes in the data, proving the ineffectiveness of present preprocessing techniques. This highlights the importance of advanced fairness evaluation measures and bias reduction policies in order to promote equal opportunity when hiring AI.
Monitor and Control Electricity for Home Appliance Pradosh Kumar Sharma, B. Lakshmi, A. Prakash, Manish Kumar Verma, V V S Sasank, N. Ashokkumar 2023 International Conference on New Frontiers in Communication Automation Management and Security Iccams 2023, 2023 Electricity is a vital part of modern life; therefore, it is crucial to learn how to utilize it safely. Over time, current systems for domestic power regulation have been analyzed with an eye toward improvement. However, existing Power Monitoring and Switching (PMAS) methods have a greater error rate and cannot be remotely monitored. As a result, this research suggests a SMACS for monitoring and controlling domestic appliances. The relevance of the application is in its ability to monitor the power consumption of home appliances via the use of hardware and IoT techniques. An Arduino UNO, a liquid-crystal display (LCD), an ACS812 current sensor module, some relays, and some AC sources all go into making the prototype of the suggested system. The software library is mined for parts, and identical simulation and prototype results are identified. Due to its absence from the system, the ESP9266 WiFi module has been included in the design. Thing-speak is used to record the information in the cloud. Data is accessed using a mobile app (Virtuoso), so it may be visualized numerically and graphically. Through the use of mobile apps, this research offers consumers a simple mechanism for keeping tabs on and adjusting the power usage of standard home equipment. The results demonstrate that the present Power Monitoring and Switching (PMAS) system produces 8.8% of current errors for the hairdryer appliance, whereas the suggested system gives just 1.6% of existing faults.
Single-Phase Grid-Connected Photovoltaic Systems using an ANFIS MPPT Algorithm with Grey-Wolf Optimisation K Pradeep, K Vinay Kumar, T Vijay Muni, Katuri Rayudu, A Prakash, Pandala Rathnakar Kumar 2023 IEEE 3rd International Conference on Smart Technologies for Power Energy and Control Stpec 2023, 2023 This research used Grey Wolf Optimisation (GWO)-assisted ANFIS MPPT for single-phase grid-connected renewable energy systems. These energy sources’ carbon emissions have devastated the climate. For over two centuries, fossil fuels have powered the globe. Thus, the demand for pollution-free, sustainable, and plentiful energy production is growing. The DC-DC LUO converter minimises voltage stress and duty cycle, enabling power semiconductor switches to obtain substantial voltage. VSIs feed the converter’s output voltage into the Grid. A maximum power point tracking approach based on an adaptive neuro fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) controls the DC-DC converter to account for the PV’s variable output. Next, a GWO controller fine-tunes MPPT. A Single-Phase power Source Inverter (VSI) converts converter-generated DC power into grid-required AC voltage. LC filters boost inverter output. VSI switching pulses created using dq theory can synchronize the grid with low total harmonic distortion. MATLAB simulates the system’s performance.
IoT in Health Care Study by Text Analysis Yashomati R Dhumal, V M Gobinath, Srinivas Jangirala, M. Vidhya, A Prakash, Arundhati Shinde Mysurucon 2022 2022 IEEE 2nd Mysore Sub Section International Conference, 2022 The Internet of Things (IoT) should be a new buzzword that emerged little by little (IoT). Organizations, governments, and the scientific community have already understood the relevance of IoT in the past few years, with a growing number of publications. A key component of this progress was IoT in health, but little research has been conducted on aspirations and potential developments. Only as the solution, they integrate bibliometric analysis and data mining to evaluate the longitudinal patterns of the IoT devices to Medical in this study. From 2000 to 2021, 778 articles were derived from the Web of Science. Abstract textual data indicate that articles were divided into 30 groups, revealing eight IoT in health trends. The development of this field is worldwide, with distinctive patterns that should be noted to promote some areas.
Student Health Detection using a Machine Learning Approach and IoT M. Pradeepa, K. Jamberi, S. Sajith, M. Rama Bai, A. Prakash, Kutubuddin sayyad liyakat kazi Mysurucon 2022 2022 IEEE 2nd Mysore Sub Section International Conference, 2022 With the development of sensor technologies, Internet of Things (IoT) technologies for creating behavioral and physiological management systems, including IoT-based pupil medical management systems, have evolved quickly. It is now required to monitor the health function status of the increasing number of students who live alone and are dispersed across large geographic areas. An IoT based methodology of management student heath is put forth in this study to continually monitor students’ vital signs and identifies biological and behavioral changes using advanced medical technology. In this concept, critical data are gathered by the IoT module, & data evaluation is done using neural network models are used to analyze the data to determine the likely risks to kids' physiological and behavioral modifications. According to the experimental findings, the suggested model is effective and accurate in determining the state of the pupils. The support vector machine had a maximum performance of 99.1% after the suggested model had been evaluated, which is a good outcome for our objectives. Algorithms for multilevel perceptron neural systems, random forests & decision trees were also beaten by the results.
