  • Personalization of physical education based on the study of body composition and body vegetative support in female students
    Guryanov, M., Bocharin, I., Kalyuzhny, E., Kraynik, V., Limarenko, O., et al.
Journal of Physical Education and Sport, 2024
The pursuit of innovative approaches to enhance physical education for youth remains a pressing concern, underscored by persistently low indicators of psychophysical and somatic health among students globally.Research objective: To personalize physical activity and investigate body composition and heart rate variability among female students with varying levels of somatic health and functional characteristics.Materials and methods. The study encompassed 167 female students from Volga National Research Medical University (Russia) aged 19.2 ± 1.3 years.According to the medical examination, 105 girls had a special medical group for PE classes and 62 had a preparatory one.Body length and weight were determined using floor scales with a height meter, the indicators of body component composition were evaluated using a bioimpedance study on the hardware complex «MedicalSoft Sports Testing System».The state of the body vegetative supply was studied according to the characteristics of the heart rate variability indicators state. The Poly-Spectrum device was used the assessment was carried out taking into account the standardized protocol for recording a cardiointervalogram. For dynamic monitoring of morphofunctional status, indicators of fat and muscle mass, body mass index, phase angle, total, intra-and extracellular water content in the body, and basal metabolism were evaluated. The parameters of heart rate, temporal and spectral indicators of heart rate variability and stress index were analyzed.Results.It was found that the girls in the preparatory group had higher indicators of fat and muscle mass, intracellular and extracellular water, phase angle, basal metabolism and body mass index.Among the students of the special group, there is a tendency of relative tension of regulatory systems, increased centralization of heart rhythm and sympathetic activity. The biological age parameter was recorded in a higher value among the subjects of the special health group. The correlation analysis demonstrated the presence of direct correlations of the biological age indicator with the stress index parameters and the fat mass level as well as inverse correlations with the indices of the total power of the spectrum, the RMSSD index and the phase angle. The study of other body characteristics influence over the variability of biological age may be of interest for further research.Conclusions.The obtained research results of the girls' body morphofunctional parameters make it possible to identify a risk group for physical exertion among them.It individualizes female students' physical activity in PE classes at an educational institution.
  • Endurance of athletes after consuming foods of high nutritional value in daily nutrition
Journal of Physical Education and Sport, 2024
The training process of athletes is accompanied by a high level of metabolism and significant biochemical and morpho-functional changes in the body.To effectively increase physical fitness and restore the body of people involved in sports, it is necessary to provide them with adequate nutrition, especially during periods of intense training. This can be realized through the inclusion of foods with increased nutritional value in diets.Research objective: To test the developed recipe for shortbread cookies with the addition of viburnum berry meal in sports nutrition for young athletes.Materials and methods.Testing of the use of cookies with the addition of viburnum berry meal was carried out among student-athletes of the Siberian Olympic Reserve School.30 first-year students (average age 16.5±1.2years) took part in the project. All students were divided into 2 groups of 15 people: experimental (EG) and control (CG).Participants in the experimental group ate shortbread biscuits containing viburnum berry meal every day for breakfast and lunch for 6 months. All participants in the experiment were athletes who engaged in sports from 8 to 12 hours a week.At the beginning and at the end of the project, students EG and CG were tested for general and speed-strength endurance of the muscles of the lower extremities.Results.The use of shortbread cookies with viburnum meal in the diet for 6 months made it possible to increase the overall endurance of boys and girl's athletes of the experimental group by 19.9 and 11.2%, which is significantly more than that of the athletes of the control group (2.6 and 1.1%).By the end of the experiment, the speed-strength endurance of the muscles of the lower extremities increased in boys and girls of the experimental group by 71.4 and 56.0%, respectively. In the control group of athletes, the increase in test values was 17.2 and 3.8%.Conclusions.The developed recipe for shortbread cookies with viburnum meal is an ergogenic product of increased nutritional value. It can be considered a promising source of dietary fiber, vitamins and proteins for the body and is recommended for use in the nutrition of athletes.
  • Physical education in 17-19-year-old girls with different psychological gender
Journal of Physical Education and Sport, 2023
The study of the motor and morphofunctional qualities specifics in girls having different psychological gender to increase the effectiveness of physical culture and wellness technologies among students is an urgent problem.Research aim: to study the state and peculiarities of morphological, functional and motor qualities of female students having various psychological gender engaged in physical education in a special medical group.Materials and methods.150 girls aged 17-19 years, university students (Russia) who had abnormalities in the state of somatic health took part in the research project.Psychological testing of the gender of all girls was carried out using a questionnaire proposed by Bem (1974).The psychological gender of girls was distinguished: masculine; feminine; androgynous. The main anthropometric parameters, functional parameters of the cardiovascular, respiratory and muscular systems and testing of motor qualities were measured in all the girls.Results.Significant differences in morphofunctional indicators and motor qualities of girls with different psychological gender types were established.Significantly higher values of anthropometric, functional indicators and motor qualities were established in girls of masculine psychological gender type, compared with feminine and androgynous ones.Conclusions.The obtained research results can be used in female students' physical education to increase the effectiveness of physical culture and wellness activities.
  • The structure of a protest as a mass- media concept: Modern discursive practices
    Elena V. Lukashevich
Vestnik Novosibirskogo Gosudarstvennogo Universiteta Seriya Istoriya Filologiya, 2020
The article draws on the data gathered from Russian media-political discourse and presents the model a “protest” as a mass-media concept. The cognitive and discursive analysis of media reports on civil protests during the elections to Moscow City Duma in 2019 (on the website www.aif.ru) allows to nuance the conceptual structure of protests in the worldview of modern Russian society and to reveal the trends in the concept dynamics from the standpoint of ideology and meaning. The article defines dominant psycholinguistic scenarios and intent models, the specificity of discursive practices of Russian political protests, intentions and style of journalists, and tools employed to generate a specific communicative impact on the audience. In the texts published on the website www.aif.ru, the negative image of a protesting opposition activist is created through the use of the dominant scenario “Deception” in combination with “Planning / Intention” and “Lack of propriety”. The intent group “Us” is assessed positively (self-representation), less often neutrally (information), while the intensity of the negative assessment of the group “Them” (“strangers”) increased as the protests progressed (from “criticism” to “accusation” and subsequently to “exposure”). The primary communicative strategies for presenting protesters are the strategies of attacks on reputation and diminishing credibility.
