Dr Zilmiyah Kamble works with James Cook University, Singapore as a Senior Lecturer in Hospitality and Tourism management. She is a qualitative researcher with work experience that spans over five different countries (UK, Seychelles, India, Malaysia and currently Singapore) in the tourism industry and academics. Her diverse research interests include tourism planning, destination governance, social and cultural sustainability, and sociology of tourism. She has also consulted for training initiatives at the Seychelles Ministry of Tourism, and published research pertaining to social impacts of tourism, tourism planning and policy reviews of tourism development in post-conflict zones.
