Muthamizhchelvan Aip Conference Proceedings, 2012 Pure anatase nano-TiO2 powders were successfully prepared by a simple polymer gel technique using poly- (vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP) as the polymer. The prepared TiO2 samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and UV-visible spectroscopy studies. The particle size analyzed by TEM ranged between 2 nm and 5 nm. The maximum UV absorption for the TiO2 nanoparticles was below 400 nm.
