is currently working as Assistant Professor (Selection grade) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College. She completed her B.E in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from College of Engineering, Thozhudur, (Madras University) in the year 1999. She completed her M.E in Power Electronics and Drives from Anna University Coimbatore in the year 2011. She is currently persuing Ph.D in Anna University, Chennai. She has 15 years of teaching experience. She is a member in IEEE, ISTE.

Her research interest includes Converters, Distributed Generating systems and smart grid. She has published 10 papers in reputed journals and she has also published 07 papers in National and International Conferences. She is a peer reviewer in many journals and has been awarded as Outstanding Reviewer in Elsevier Journal. Her Expertise lead to consultancy projects from industries etc. She has organized and attended various workshops and Short term courses in her area of expertise.

    High impedance (HI) faults in microgrid (MG) power systems are non-linear, intermittent, and have low fault current magnitudes, making them challenging to detect by typical protective systems. Consequently, it is imperative to implement a sophisticated protection system that is dependent on the precision of fault detection. In this study, a stacking ensemble classifier (SEC) is proposed to discriminate HI fault from other transients within a photovoltaic (PV) generated MG power system. The MG model is simulated with the introduction of faults and transients. The features of data set from event signals are generated using the discrete wavelet transform (DWT) technique. The dataset is used to train the individual classifiers (Naïve Bayes (NB), decision tree J48 (DTJ), and K-nearest neighbors (KNN)) at initial and meta learner in the final stage of SEC. The SEC outperforms other classification methods with respect to accuracy of classification, rate of success in detecting HI fault, and performance measures. The outcomes of the classification study conducted under standard test conditions (STC) of solar PV and the noisy environment of event signals clearly demonstrate that the SEC is more dependable and performs better than the individual base classification approaches.
  • Simulation of Highly Efficient CdTe/CdS based Solar Cell with Al-ZnO as Buffer Layer using SCAPS-1D

    Al-dopped ZnO/CdS/CdTe solar cells with varying thicknesses and stoichiometric divisions were meticulously modeled using the SCAPS-1D simulation program. The analysis primarily focused on the I-V characteristics, utilizing the SCAPS-1D modeling. Optimal results were achieved Al-ZnO (Aluminum-doped Zinc Oxide)serves as a transparent, conductive window layer that allows light in while providing good electrical conductivity. CdS (Cadmium Sulfide) acts as the n-type buffer layer, forming a stable heterojunction with the p-type CdTe (Cadmium Telluride) absorber with corresponding variation in open circuit voltage, current density, and fill factor values. This configuration yielded an impressive efficiency from 16.64 % to 19.36 %. These findings underscore the significance of precise control over the CdTe layer's thickness and the involving fraction in optimizing the result of AlZnO/CdS/CdTe solar cells
  • AI-Powered Interactive System for Sustainable Electric Vehicles

    Electric vehicles (EV) are changing transport scenario offering a greenery option for traditional fuel-operated cars. Despite their growing popularity, many EV systems lack advanced communication and environmental monitoring capabilities. This study is a proposed AI-enhanced, interactive monitoring and communication system for the next generation EVS, including the Internet Of things (IOT) technologies. System uses ESP32 and integrating Raspberry pi microcontroller, voice recognition (Voice to-Text) and speech synthesis (Text-to-Speech) features dynamic interaction facility between vehicle and it environment. A network of sensors tracks such major parameters battery voltage, current, temperature, humidity and water form entry, which improves vehicle reliability and security. Additional features like real-time alert, relay-acted control, and live LCD reaction further increases operations efficiency and user experience. The solution provides a scalable, cost-skilled approach for smart EV monitoring and communications.
  • Drive Control using Multilevel Inverter for Electric Vehicle Application: A Hybrid SCSO-SNN Technique

    This manuscript proposes a hybrid method for drive control using a multilevel inverter (MLI) for electric vehicle (EV) applications. The proposed technique is the joint execution of spiking neural network (SNN), and sand cat swarm optimization (SCSO), hence it is named as SCSO-SNN technique. The primary goal of the proposed technique is to improve the speed tracking performance and, energy efficiency and lessen the torque ripple of the EV. The set of control signals is generated by SCSO and the SNN is used to forecast the optimal control signal of the cascaded multilevel inverter (CMLI). The proposed technique is implemented in the MATLAB software and is evaluated their performance with various present methods. The results show that the proposed method can achieve better performance than current techniques based on speed tracking, energy efficiency, and torque ripple. The proposed method enhanced the total efficiency of the system (96%) and reduced the torque ripple (0.5%) when contrasted with current techniques like Genetic Algorithm (GA), Spotted Hyena Optimizer (SHO), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). The proposed method shows a mean of 1.269, a median of 1.212, and a standard deviation of 0.015, indicating high stability and consistency. It also demonstrates lower switching losses (0.159 W) and conduction losses (0.370 W) compared to existing methods, underscoring its superior energy efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Investigation of Fault Modes on PV based Cascaded H Bridge Multilevel Inverter for Submersible Induction Motor Drive

    This Paper is related to solar powered five level of Cascaded H-Bridge Multistage Inverter for Submersible Asynchronous motor for rural pumping applications. Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) has been implemented to Multilevel Converter and the motor is protected from subsequent faults such as Low Water Level -Dry Run, Insulation failure (short circuit), Pump Lock Condition (Foreign particles), and line fault. Perturb and Observe MPPT technique is implemented to maximize the output power. Simulation is done in Matlab Simulink and hardware has been executed. ATMEGA controller is used as a platform to code.

  • Generation of Free Energy using a Compact Flywheel

    A compact flywheel is involved in generation of free energy. The kinetic energy storage flywheel is designed to attach it to an electric machine. The mechanical bearings and belt drive support the entire system. The motor and generator are coupled and the rotor of the system is controlled by the flywheel. The rotor-flywheel spins and remain in magnetic levitation in the vertical orientation with the help of bearings and axial flux motor. The obtained free energy is stored in a battery. This free energy can be used either as feedback to the motor for continuous process or supply for external appliances. MATLAB simulation has been carried out and results have been proved that this Free Energy Flywheel system is possible.
