He is currently a Full Professor at the IFF - Federal Fluminense Institute. He is the coordinator of the Master's Program in Systems Applied to Engineering and Management (SAEG) and a professor in the Postgraduate Program in Environmental Engineering (PPEA). He was a SEBRAE scholarship holder for the ALI Project (Local Innovation Agents) of extensionism supporting local development through innovation in the period 2021-2022 (CNPq) and 2023/2024. He was the Municipal Superintendent of Science, Technology and Innovation of the Municipality of Campos dos Goytacazes - RJ from 2017 to 2020. He has experience in the area of ​​Civil and Production Engineering, with emphasis on Planning, Design and Control of Production Systems and Local Economic Development, Technological Innovation and Sustainability, acting mainly on the following topics: strategic planning, small businesses, production chain and competitiveness.

EDUCATION

He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Ceará (1990), a master's degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal Fluminense University (1993), a specialization in Local Development from the International Labour Organization ILO-Turin (2001), a doctorate in Production Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro - PUC Rio (2002), a Postdoctoral Internship at the Pontifical University of Salamanca - Spain (2006), a Postdoctoral degree in Industrial Economics from the Institute of Economics of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2008) and a Postdoctoral degree in the Research Line State and Public Policy in the Public Policies and Human Formation Program PPFH UERJ (2015).
