Molecular Interaction Analysis of Lepidiomic Acid and 2-Furan Carboxylic Acid 1-Methyl Ester with Key Targets for Hyperlipidemia Treatment Rajnish Srivastava, Lovish Sharma, Kirshna Kumar Varshney, Ashok Kumar, Pradeepta Kumar Sarangi, Ashok Kumar Sahoo Macromolecular Symposia, 2026 Aim: This study investigates the interaction of Lepidiomic acid and 2‐Furan carboxylic acid 1‐methyl ester with six receptor proteins linked to lipoprotein metabolism, aiming for potential hyperlipidemia management. Molecular docking results demonstrated strong binding affinity and stability, underscoring their therapeutic potential for developing novel hyperlipidemia treatments. Background: Lepidiomic acid is a polyhydroxylated pyranoid, and 2‐Furan carboxylic acid 1‐methyl ester belongs to Furanoids, also known as methyl 2‐furoate, is an organic compound that belongs to the class of furoic acid esters. It has the chemical formula C 6 H 6 O 3 and a molecular weight of 126.11 g/mol. It has a sweet, fruity, and fungal taste and has been detected in foods such as fruits, coffee, nuts, green vegetables, and cocoa. It has also been used to synthesize cis‐fused 5‐oxofuro[2,3‐b] furans and in the preparation of sesquiterpene lactone. Material and method: Molecular interactions of six molecular targets with Lepidiomic acid and 2‐Furan carboxylic acid 1‐methyl ester were identified and established by molecular simulation docking studies. Result: Lepidiomic acid's interaction with all receptors, i.e, human Retinoid X Receptor alpha, Human LXR‐beta, Aceyl CoA acryl transferase, PPAR delta, PON 1 Receptor is −5.89, −7.3, −8.0, −7.7, −5.8, respectively, and 2‐Furan carboxylic acid 1‐methyl ester interactions with receptors are −4.95, −5.0, −4.5, −4.5, −4.3. Conclusion: Both lipiodiomic acid and 2‐Furan carboxylic acid 1‐methyl ester showed interactions with all five receptors. However, Lepidiomic acid's interaction with Aceyl‐COA acryl transferase proved to be the highest with −8.0 docking score.
Towards next-generation energy storage: The role of binary and ternary nanocomposites in supercapacitor performance Ala Manohar, Thirukachhi Suvarna, Krishnamoorthi Chintagumpala, Khursheed Muzammil, Muhammad Imran, Ashok Kumar, Sambasivam Sangaraju, Ki Hyeon Kim Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2025 Nanocomposites have garnered significant attention in recent years for their potential applications in supercapacitors (SC), particularly in binary and ternary configurations. This review provides an in-depth analysis of the role these nanocomposites play in enhancing SC performance . It begins by examining the various characteristics and synthesis methods of binary and ternary nanocomposites , emphasizing the synergistic effects that arise from combining multiple components at the nanoscale. The electrochemical properties , including capacitance, conductivity, and stability, are then analyzed to demonstrate how their unique compositions contribute to improved energy storage capabilities. Additionally, the review evaluates key factors such as composition ratios, and fabrication techniques that influence the performance of nanocomposite-based SC. The applications of binary and ternary nanocomposites in SC, including their integration into renewable energy systems, are also explored. Finally, the current research directions and challenges in the field are discussed, emphasizing the need for innovative approaches to improve the scalability and efficiency of nanocomposite-based SC. This comprehensive overview serves as a valuable resource for researchers and professionals aiming to harness the potential of nanocomposites for advanced energy storage solutions.
Solar Collector Featured Dryer Performance Enriched by the Adaptations of Phase Change Material Embedded With Fin Collector Absorber R. Venkatesh, K. Logesh, Mohanavel Vinayagam, Ashok Kumar, Rishabh Chaturvedi, S. Prabagaran, Manzoore Elahi M. Soudagar, Saleh Hussein Salmen, Sami Al Obaid Journal of Thermal Science and Engineering Applications, 2025 The solar dryer was an effective choice for drying agriculture products because it is cost-effective and requires no external energy for process drying. The fluctuation in drying temperature due to irregular radiation availability influences the food product quality and drying time significantly during the drying process using a solar dryer. In this study, the solar dryer integrated with a solar collector is experimentally studied using phase change material (PCM—paraffin wax) embedded with a fin collector absorber. The drying products such as banana (DP1), and potato (DP2) slices are used in the thickness of 2 mm. The absorber with PCM and fins configuration in the solar collector leads to better thermal performance compared to conventional solar collector absorbers and PCM absorbers. The dryer with PCM and fins-integrated solar collector absorber achieved higher outlet air temperatures of 56.5 °C and 58.1 °C for DP1 and DP2 61, respectively. Additionally, the collector efficiency, moisture, and drying rate for dryers with PCM-integrated solar collector absorbers of DP1/DP2 products were improved by 73.4/75.4%, 0.92/0.95, and 0.88/0.9 kg/h, respectively. Therefore, the dryer with PCM and fins-integrated solar collector absorber is the best choice for drying agricultural products using solar technologies.
