Cosmetics have become necessary for humans because of their routine and continuous use. Therefore, the research aims to discover mercury content in cosmetics sold freely on social media in Gorontalo City. Besides, the sampling employs total sampling with a complete sample of 10 items. Therefore, this study is descriptive research with an experimental laboratory method. On the other hand, the qualitative analysis using atomic absorption spectrophotometer (SSA) test unveiled that out of the ten samples of whitening cream, there were eight samples containing mercury, namely sample 1, sample 2, sample 3, sample 5, sample 6, sample 8, sample 9, and sample 10. However, it does not exceed the mercury level under the limit requirements set by the National Agency of Drug and Food Control of the Republic of Indonesia. As a recommendation, in choosing cosmetic products, consumers should pay attention to the benefits and adverse effects and the chemical content that can jeopardize their health and use cosmetic ingredients with a POM number.

Abstract Housing development has significant benefits for the community, but it can also have negative impacts, such as the production of waste that can threaten environmental sustainability, health, and the survival of humans and other living things. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the Building Approval based on the results of the development impact assessment on biodiversity in residential areas in Gowa Regency. This research uses a qualitative analysis method and an interdisciplinary approach to obtain a comprehensive understanding. The information collection technique was conducted through a literature review involving books, journal articles, and news portals as data sources. The results showed that to overcome the impact of development on the surrounding environment, housing developers are required to obtain environmental permits. Environmental permits can be granted if the housing development business has an Environmental Management Effort (UKL-UPL) or Environmental Impact Analysis (EIA). In addition, developers are also required to obtain a space utilization permit as a basis for housing development, as well as an initial mitigation step in monitoring housing growth in the Gowa Regency Region. By conducting this research, it is hoped that it can provide a deeper insight into the effect of housing development on biodiversity in the Gowa Regency. The results of this research are expected to be the basis for relevant parties in making sustainable policies to minimize negative impacts and improve environmental sustainability in housing development in the region.

Context: The behavior model for preventing HIV/AIDS transmission in lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) youth can contain HIV/AIDS information in this population. Objective: According to Planned Behavior Theory (PBT), human growth within different social environments may gain further information on various issues. This information can be the basis of their behavioral beliefs, social demands of essential others (normative beliefs), and obstacles that can prevent them from showing certain behaviors (control beliefs). These factors can influence intention and behavior. This study aims to develop a model for HIV/AIDS risk-related behavior among LGBT youth based on PBT. Methods: This was an observational study using a cross-sectional approach. The modeling used the Structural Equation Model (SEM) pathway through the AMOS 8.50 software application. The variables in this study are internal factors, such as religious obedience, knowledge, beliefs, intention, and risky behavior. Participants: This study occurred in Gorontalo Province with 200 LGBT youths with risky behaviors. Results: Risk behavior modeling results of LGBT youths in Gorontalo; Religious adherence affects risk behavior through intention. Overall, research results from the study using the PBT approach emphasize that religious obedience does not directly affect the behavioral variables but rather beliefs and intentions. Conclusion: HIV/AIDS prevention programs for LGBT youth should focus on religious activities.

Entomopathogenic fungi have been proved controlling plant pests, and most of the entomopathogenic fungi isolated from the agroecosystem. The research was carried out to characterize the entomopathogenic fungi diversity associated with different agroecosystem on a different location in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Fungi of rice field ecosystems were found more diverse than on dryland ecosystems, and the genus was Fusarium species, Aspergillus species, Rhizopus species, Trichoderma species, Penicillium species, Rhizoctonia species and Metharizium species. Moreover, Fusarium species and Rhizopus species were the most frequent genus isolated from rice field ecosystem, while on dryland ecosystems, the fungus of Metharizium species found more frequent than Fusarium species and Aspergillus species According to a geographical location on rice field ecosystems. The number of fungi isolated on the regency of Gowa more numerous than regency of Sidrap, Takalar, and Pinrang. Meanwhile, on the dryland ecosystems, three locations were the city of Makassar, the regency of Maros, and the regency of Polman. Among three areas, the regency of Maros founded more fungi than regency of Polman and Makassar. This study exhibits the diversity of fungi on the rice field, and dryland ecosystems were quite different.
