    Singapore Economic Review, 2026
China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) developed a system of interaction with the member countries to uplift economic and environmental integration. Through BRI, these countries are now developing in the field of financial management, energy and environment. This raised the importance to test nexus between energy, finance and environment-related constructs to present the empirical significance with policy suggestions. Therefore, considering the SDG number 7 for sustainable and reliable energy system, recent investigation attempted to determine that how green financing raise energy efficiency, and, to what extent economic and environmental integration act as a catalyst to enhance sustainability and reliability in energy systems of BRI member countries. For empirical analysis, study used the data from 2005–2018. The results have shown a significant variation in energy financing patterns, renewable energy sources consumption and carbon emission trends in BRI member nations. Moreover, the Probit regression analysis confirmed this variation between energy efficiency, financing patterns and carbon emission. Moreover, Human Development Index (HDI) and public financing in energy sector have shown a limited role in developing energy efficiency, which presented the room for private investment through green financing for energy efficiency maximization and this proved as significant in study context. This study also presented policy guidelines for key stakeholders.

Eka Prasetiawan, Yuli Harwani, Dudi Permana, Yanto Ramli
Australasian Accounting Business and Finance Journal, 2025
This research aims to test and analyze the Visiting Decision, which mediates the relationship between Image Tourism Destination, Role of Social Media, Community Tourism Participation, Natural Attraction, and Cultural Healing of the Baduy Tribe on Willingness to Recommend. The analysis method used is SEM-PLS. The result is that the visiting decision can mediate the factors studied in identifying the willingness to recommend visiting Baduy tourism. This research shows the appropriate tourism development model to be implemented in the Baduy Tribe of Lebak Regency while maintaining the community's cultural values and local wisdom. The limitation of this research is that it still uses several variables that were used in previous studies. However, the new thing is the inclusion of the cultural healing variable in the research as a variable that prevents researchers from using it, except for variables that are almost the same, such as health tourism and medical tourism.

International Journal of Energy Economics and Policy, 2024
Most of the developing economies face the issue of environmental degradation despite having tremendous growth in previous decades. Therefore, these countries are not able to preserve their development level if they do not achieve their targets of environmental sustainability. In this view, this study aims to analyze the effect of green finance, digital finance and natural resources on carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions for a panel of 23 developing countries over 2010 to 2020 period. The study has applied Driscoll-Kraay Standard Error estimation technique to conduct the empirical estimation. The outcomes of the study identify that natural resources and digital finance reduce, whereas green finance increase the level of CO2 emissions. The findings of causality test indicate that green finance, digital finance and natural resources do not granger cause the CO2 emissions. Thus, natural resources and digital finance have significant contribution to improve the environmental quality. Based on the findings, the study recommends relevant policies for the effective utilization of natural resources and promoting digital finance to achieve the targets of environmental sustainability in developing countries.

Rina Astini, Kehkashan Ishrat, Yanto Ramli, Tafiprios Tafiprios, Kwong Wing Chong, et al.
International Journal of Energy Economics and Policy, 2023
The higher discharge of carbon emissions in environment is endangering human life as well as eco system. With the emergence of digital technology, crypto trading and blockchain technologies are also causing the paradigm shift in technological needs, however, in parallel, creating unresolved environmental problems especially in the top 10 crypto-friendly Asian economies due to the higher percentage of poisonous emissions. Thereby, the study attempts to scrutinize the nexus among crypto-trading, environmental degradation, economic growth and energy usage. CO2 emissions are taken as a proxy of environmental degradation in the context of crypto friendly Asian economies. The data extracted from WDI and coin market cap covering the period from 2012-2020. The article applied CS-ARDL technique in order to find the association between variables in short and long run. Granger Causality test is also applied to find out the causality among constructs. Findings expose that bi-directional causality exists between crypto trading and carbon emission and crypto trading and energy usage, hence, disturbing environmental sustainability due to high emissions. The paper suggests policy makers and other institutional officers to de-socialize those block chain technologies which consumes high energy and use green technology as their substitute. This helps in the reduction of environmental damages.

Zheng Wenlong, Nguyen Hoang Tien, Amena Sibghatullah, Daru Asih, Mochamad Soelton, et al.
Environmental Science and Pollution Research, 2023
Despite the fact that Asian economies have experienced robust economic growth in recent decades, rising pollution emissions have raised worries among policymakers about the long-term stability of this output growth. Knowing this fact, the present study attempts to empirically analyze the impact of some important factors, e.g., energy efficiency, technology innovations, trade openness, and institutional quality, on environment in 10 Asian economies over the period 1995–2018. Taking into account the slope heterogeneity and cross-sectional dependence present in the data, Westerlund and Edgerton (2008) and Banerjee and Carrion-i-Silvestre (2017) cointegration techniques and cross-sectionally augmented autoregressive distributed lag model (CS-ARDL) estimation are applied. For robust analysis, augmented mean group (AMG) and common correlated effects mean group (CCEMG) are also employed in the study. The empirical findings provided by selected variables reveal that both trade openness and institutional quality have detrimental impact, whereas energy efficiency and technology innovations have favorable impact on environmental quality in the selected economies. Empirical findings are robust to various policy recommendations. To create a sustainable future environment, Asian economies should focus on the improvement of their institutions quality and increase investments in technology innovations. The Asian countries must encourage trade-related environmental regulations and energy efficiency policies for better and sustainable environmental quality.
