Description of the 11B+209Bi elastic scattering: applying different nucleon-nucleon interactions Ahmed Hammad Amer, Zakaria M M Mahmoud, M N El-Hammamy Physica Scripta, 2025 We analyzed the elastic scattering angular distributions of 11B from 209Bi over the energy range of 49.8–84.1 MeV using different potentials. We used the cluster folding (CF) method to calculate the real part of the nuclear optical potential (OP). The 7Li+α cluster structure of the tightly bound 11B projectile is considered in this method. In addition, we employed the conventional double folding (DF) method using both energy-dependent (SPP2, S1Y, and R3Y) and energy-independent (BNP and KH) effective nucleon-nucleon (NN) interactions. We use either the Woods-Saxon (WS) form or an FM approach that matches the real potential for the imaginary part. For comparison, the phenomenological Woods-Saxon (WS) potential is used. We found that all the considered potentials accurately describe the differential cross sections. Furthermore, these potential parameters have similar energy behavior. These potentials are divided into two groups based on their energy dependence and their corresponding physical quantities.

Revista Mexicana De Fisica, 2024 The angular distributions of the elastic and inelastic scattering cross sections of alpha projectiles on different heavy ion target nuclei including 12C, 16O, 24Mg, 28Si and 40Ca at energy of 130 MeV have been studied using two different microscopic real potentials generated by the energy density functional (EDF) theory, and single folding cluster model as well as phenomenological Woods-Saxon potentials. A new parameterization was considered for the first time by EDF and to make the normalization coefficient tend to unity, it is necessary to consider correction to the calculated real potential. Coupled channel calculations for various low-lying states were performed, and the best fit values for the deformation length with the above models were extracted by fitting the inelastic scattering cross section and compared to previous work values. The total reaction cross section, as well as the real and imaginary volume integrals, have been studied.
