  • Machine Learning-Enhanced Multiscale Computational Framework for Optimizing Thermoelectric Performance in Nanostructured Materials
Udit Mamodiya, Indra Kishor, P. Satish Reddy, K. Lakshmi Kalpana, Radha Seelaboyina, Harish Reddy Gantla
    Computers Materials and Continua, 2026
The direct conversion of solid-state heat to electricity using thermoelectric materials has attracted attention; however, their effective application is limited because of the challenge of ensuring a balance between the microstructural features at the quantum, mesoscale, and continuum scales. Current computational and machine-learning methods have a small design space, wherein few to no interactions between the electronic structure, phonon transport, and device-level are considered. This makes it difficult to discover stable high-figure of merit (ZT) settings that are manufacturable and strong in the actual working environment. This study presents a multiscale hybrid optimization framework that combines first-principles descriptors, synthetic microstructure optimization, machine-learning surrogate modeling, Finite Element Method (FEM)-based transport modeling and optimization, and an uncertainty-sensitive reinforcement-learning optimization framework. The results of the performance improvements are compared with those of physics-only, ML-only, and recent optimization baselines using hybrid thermoelectric. The integrated framework offers an accuracy of 97.2%–95.8% in predicting the transport coefficients and offering 18%–32% ZT improvements from the baselines. The optimized configurations remained stable under ±10% fabrication-style perturbations, confirming that the discovered designs were not fragile numerical artifacts. The proposed approach provides a valuable solution for finding a reliable way to obtain high-ZT, fabrication-tolerant thermoelectric designs, which opens the way to accelerated material discovery and the design of next-generation thermoelectric (TE) devices.
  • The Double-Edged Sword of Sustainability: Lithium-ion Batteries, Environmental Impacts and Opportunities for Improvement

    E3s Web of Conferences, 2025
This comprehensive study investigates the multifaceted impacts of LIBs(LIBs) and sustainable framework for repurposing used LIBs. The rapid proliferation of LIBs in electric vehicles and consumer electronics has raised concerns about their environmental footprint, disposal implications, and resource depletion. To address these issues, this paper aims to evaluate various technologies that facilitate an environmentally friendly method for prolonging battery life cycles. A systematic process for collecting, assessing, and refurbishing batteries will be developed to identify potential secondary uses such as home energy storage systems, backup power solutions, and small-scale renewable energy projects. The study will investigate the environmental consequences of LIB manufacturing and disposal, including electronic waste generation, resource depletion, and contamination risks, and explore the role of repurposed LIBs in reducing e-waste and conserving resources, this research seeks to contribute significantly To advance environmentally friendly battery management practices and foster a more circular economy, the research aims to provide valuable insights. These findings will have significant implications for various sectors, including industries, policymakers, and consumers. By promoting sustainable development, the research seeks to eliminate the impact of LIBs(LIBs) on the environment.

Artificial intelligence (AI) has introduced new opportunities and difficulties to a number of businesses. However, the value of communication skills has been largely ignored in the focus on AI and its capabilities. In the age of AI, communication skills are crucial for allowing human-AI contact, addressing ethical problems, and encouraging effective AI adoption. This research article attempts to highlight the significance of communication skills in these contexts. In order to create AI systems that interact with people, the article first looks at the communication gap between humans and AI and the requirement for effective communication skills. It emphasizes human communication skills' significance in establishing trust with non-technical stakeholders and encouraging adoption of complicated AI concepts. After that, the study explores the ethical issues raised by AI and how strong communication skills are required to solve them. It emphasizes the significance of explaining the potential effects of AI on employment, privacy, and security as well as the necessity for responsible development and implementation of AI systems. The paper also underlines the importance of good communication skills in encouraging the use of AI. It underlines how crucial it is to convince stakeholders and employees of the advantages of AI, win their support, and handle change as AI systems are implemented. This study article emphasizes the crucial value of communication abilities in the era of AI in its conclusion. It highlights the necessity for businesses to understand these abilities are necessary to navigating opportunities and obstacles, and to engage in their development.

    E3s Web of Conferences, 2021
Increasing in opportunities for women has changed the world which fills workspace culture gap in several sectors. Empowering women is one of the most pressing criteria for economic and social needs of a nation. The study focuses on contributions of women in corporate sector and sustaining active engagement in their personal life. Women disruptions to employment, stimulating deeper thinking with targeted business actions and self-management brings the most possible change in society. The findings show that women have developed considerable effect on the academic front whereas ever-increasing work pressure is urging working women to spend less time for themselves. Women contributions in corporate sector is extremely important for prosperity and success of nations that make an incredible progress across the globe. The methods suggest that creating an envisioned process to improve gender parity in society by capitalizing human talents will make a better work place for women. This dearth of women in corporate boardrooms definitely steers the accountability. Results show that the presence of women in management positively with commitment and leadership affects significant untapped source of executive talent leading the way in decision and policy making.
