    M. Chitra, R. Surianarayanan, Vetri Selvi Mahamuni, Shariq Mohammed, Mulugeta Tilahun Keno, et al.
Essential Information Systems Service Management, 2024
The chapter discusses how cloud computing, emphasizing small and medium enterprises (SMEs), has been applied to overcome difficulties caused by a lack of resources and experience. The significance of SMEs in the global economy and their chances have also been optimized. Important elements such as cost, security, scalability, and compliance with regulations are affecting the adoption of SMEs. Pay-as-you-go access to enterprise-grade technology, remote collaboration, resource agility, and scalability are provided by cloud computing. However, medium enterprises are also depending on a trustworthy supplier, an appropriate cloud service architecture, and a comprehensive needs analysis. The personnel's training must be prioritized to maximize efficiency, data security, privacy, backup and recovery procedures.
  • Goodwill Valuation Enhancement through Capitalization Method and Statistical Impact Analysis
Shariq Mohammed, Amir Ahmad Dar, Mohammad Shahfaraz Khan, Imran Azad, Gopu Jayaraman, et al.
Journal of Risk and Financial Management, 2024
The valuation of Goodwill (GW) has remained one of the several critical issues in financial analysis. This aspect is particularly important for mergers and acquisitions due to the significance of intangible assets. This study delves into the capitalization method of super profit (CMSP), a prominent technique for GW valuation, enhanced by the integration of statistical tools. Assessing a company’s excess profits over its average return on tangible assets is part of the CMSP. Finding the variables that have a significant impact on GW valuation, such as average profit, capital employed, and rate of return, is the main goal of this research. These issues are thoroughly investigated through statistical analysis to give stakeholders useful information for well-informed decision-making. Additionally, the study seeks to identify the external elements influencing this process as well as the internal aspects influencing GW valuation. Regression analysis, correlation matrices, response analysis and ANOVA are used to improve GW assessment and comprehension of the complex relationships between different factors.

  • IoT and AI for Real-Time Customer Behavior Analysis in Digital Banking
Manesh R. Palav, K T Vigneswara Rao, Shariq Mohammed, S. Thandayuthapani, Kumaraswamy. M, et al.
2024 International Conference on System Computation Automation and Networking Icscan 2024, 2024
This research tracks and evaluates consumer use of several online banking systems using Electrical gadgets that are linked together and use artificial intelligence (AI) and the internet of things (IoT). Banks could be able to get a lot of data about how consumers engage with them, what they like, and what they purchase by means of Internet of Things (IoT) sensors in smartphones, wearable electronics, and other linked products. This data can be rapidly handled and examined using cutting-edge Machine learning (ML) and natural language processing (NLP) are two types of AI. Therefore providing insightful analysis on customer behaviour. Armed with this knowledge, financial institutions will be more adept in spotting frauds, simplifying procedures, reducing risks, and customer service enhancement. This paper investigates the use of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things to examine consumer behaviour in digital banking as it is right now as well as potential issues and benefits. This approach of doing things might revolutionise the banking industry and enable companies to gradually establish closer bonds with their customers.
  • Insurance coverage in unstable region: Managing insurance claim risk amid Kashmir's political landscape
Aamir Altaf Punoo, Mahadev Ota, Shariq Mohammed, Imran Azad, Mohammad Shahfaraz Khan, et al.
Edelweiss Applied Science and Technology, 2024
This study investigates the impact of prolonged political unrest on insurance claim amounts in Kashmir. It examines the behavior and coverage provided by insurance companies in high-risk areas, focusing on the hazards and perils associated with terrorism and political uncertainty. By analyzing historical data on political violence and terrorism in Kashmir, the study reveals significant patterns and relationships through descriptive statistics. The findings demonstrate that higher levels of political violence and terrorism lead to increased losses for insurers. Moreover, the study underscores the necessity of tailoring insurance coverage to the specific risks in unstable regions. It suggests employing time series analysis for more accurate pricing of insurance policies during periods of political instability. These insights offer practical implications for insurance companies, policymakers, and stakeholders, facilitating more effective risk assessment, pricing, and risk management strategies in volatile areas. In addition to outlining general customer requirements, the study discusses the measures and regulations needed for commercial insurers to provide economical services in such contexts. This comprehensive analysis enhances the understanding of the effects of abnormal situations like prolonged political unrest in Kashmir. Ultimately, the study proposes the integration of time series analysis into insurance pricing models to better navigate periods of political instability.
