  • Cyber-Attack Detection in IoT-Based Drug Delivery Networks
Dr. M.V. Sruthi, Dr. Subbareddy Meruva, Dr. M. Prasannakumar, S. Ravikanth, Patan Imran Khan, Bakkala Santha Kumar
International Journal of Drug Delivery Technology, 2026
The rapid adoption of Internet of Things (IoT)–enabled drug delivery networks, such as automated insulin pumps and smart IV infusion systems, has significantly improved precision and continuity of patient care. However, these cyber-physical medical devices are highly vulnerable to cyber-attacks including data spoofing, command injection, denial-of-service, and replay attacks, which can manipulate dosage delivery and pose life-threatening risks to patients. This paper addresses the critical challenge of detecting cyber-attacks in real time within IoT-based drug delivery environments while maintaining low computational overhead and minimal response delay. To overcome these challenges, a hybrid deep learning–based cyber-attack detection framework using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks is proposed. The CNN component effectively extracts spatial features from network traffic and device telemetry data, while the LSTM module captures temporal attack patterns and sequential anomalies. The proposed model is evaluated on simulated IoT medical network traffic representing normal and attack scenarios. Experimental results demonstrate a detection accuracy of 98.7%, a low false alarm rate of 1.9%, and an average detection latency of under 120 ms, making it suitable for real-time medical response systems. The findings confirm that the proposed approach significantly enhances the cybersecurity resilience of IoT-based drug delivery networks without compromising patient safety or system performance.

The early detection and diagnosis of lung cancer have significantly contributed to the improvement of patient outcomes. These contributions are in the form of early detection and diagnosis. A comparison of deep learning models to diagnose lung cancer is performed by using a dataset consisting of CT scan lung images. Popular Deep learning network architectures included in our analysis are CNN, DNN, Mobile Net V2, and Xception. The CT scan images underwent meticulous pre-processing to ensure the models effectiveness in capturing relevant features. Each deep learning architecture was individually implemented, taking into account unique hyperparameters and architecture specifications. The models were trained and evaluated on the dataset, and performance metrics such accuracy, precision, sensitivity, specificity and area under ROC curve was employed for a comprehensive comparative analysis. In order to make significant contributions to the development of strong clinical decision support systems, the findings of this study offer significantly important insights into the process of selecting the most effective deep learning techniques for the early identification of lung cancer.

2025 2nd International Conference on New Frontiers in Communication Automation Management and Security Iccams 2025, 2025
The Internet of Things (IoT) is becoming a crucial part of the Internet and the foundation for millions of intelligent, interlinked things that might subject to many types of assaults. Cryptographic algorithms are employed as a key solution to ensure integrity and privacy of the communicated data across the network. Due to the fast expansion of IoT devices across several applications like smart homes, healthcare sector and other industrial systems, ensuring protection is a significant part while reducing computing overhead. The Lightweight Encryption Algorithm provides an in-depth evaluation in solving security issues highlighting its applicability over Internet of Things. The proposed research on light weight cryptographic algorithm plays a crucial role on addressing major difficulties to ensure data privacy and distribution. The proposed cryptography algorithm proves to be superior in effectiveness and versatility when compared to several other encryption techniques with limited resources. The conventional cryptographic methods utilized by LEA performed weaker in side-channel attack vulnerabilities, key recovery approaches & limited cryptography resistance. To overcome these issues with new LEA's design, the research suggests hardware-oriented techniques such as pipelining & parallel processing, better key scheduling & the integration of S-boxes will enhance non-linearity as an alternative approach. Based on VHDL-based simulations, the research validates these improvements by measuring resource usage, system performance & cryptographic strength using programs like Intel® Quartus® Prime and Model Sim. The results obtained demonstrate that LEA is appropriate for deployment in a range of IoT applications & offers significant benefits in terms of security & operational efficiency.

2023 3rd International Conference on Smart Generation Computing Communication and Networking Smart Gencon 2023, 2023
Symmetric encryption is a cryptographic method used to provide facts security with consumer-authentication within a Wi-Fi network. This paper explores using symmetric encryption in a wireless community for faraway person-authentication via analyzing the cutting-edge and analyzing proposed techniques concerning demanding situations and dangers related to their use and implementation in this kind of setting. We then speak possible ways to improve the use of symmetric encryption, addressing ability safety problems, at the same time as making the system extra green, relaxed, and consumer-pleasant. We additionally offer a hard and fast ultra-modern tips for similarly research on this field. Our findings display symmetric encryption can be used successfully in wireless networks for far flung consumer-authentication, however, its implementation is not without challenges. These demanding situations consist of key management, scalability, and making sure consumer privacy. We propose the usage of an aggregate brand new traditional algorithms, like AES and key-based authentication, with newer protocols, along with Elliptic-curve Daffier-Hellman. This proposed approach is greater relaxed, green and personal, whilst providing better scalability and user revel in.
