I am an Environmental Health professional from the University of Costa Rica (UCR) with academic training in Environmental Sciences through a student exchange at the University of Jaén, Spain. I hold a Master’s degree in Integrated Management of Tropical Coastal Areas. My academic background combines research and university teaching, focusing on water quality, environmental contamination, ecotoxicology, and environmental risk assessment. I have been involved in multiple research projects addressing aquatic ecosystems and emerging contaminants. I am currently starting a PhD in Environmental Biogeochemistry at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, where my research focuses on ecological processes, contaminant dynamics, and metal bioaccumulation.
