Idris‑Nda Abdullahi is a Professor of Geology at the Federal University of Technology, Minna, specializing in hydrogeology, groundwater development, and environmental geoscience. As the first Professor of Geology from Niger State, he has contributed significantly to groundwater assessment, aquifer characterization, and sustainable water resource management across the Bida Basin and beyond. His research has informed community water supply initiatives, environmental hazard mitigation, and evidence‑based planning for water security.
He has presented his work at national and international scientific forums, including the WEDC International Conference, and has served on various Niger State Water Committees under the administration of Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, where he helped develop strategic proposals for strengthening the state’s water supply sector.
