    This article concerns issue of dynamic response of structures. Practical analysis of dynamic behaviour of structures is one of the current directions of structural mechanics. In practice structures are undergo different types of load pulses and their behavior under such loads need to be investigated more with different examples. A single-storey frame was chosen as a subject of this research, the model is single mass system. Dynamic analysis needs to be conducted using both obvious graphic representation and powerful means for programming and numerical analysis, so the Python language environment was chosen as an analysis tool. Three types of loading pulses are considered: constant with finite rise time, rectangular and two-legged triangular. Different period ratio cases are also calculated for each loading type. The results include comparison of response for different loading cases and varying of ratio between load pulse period and the frame natural period. The comparison shows that the dynamic load factor decrease as the amplitude increases and also structural dynamic response is significantly influenced by the natural period. Finally, this paper, for future works, recommends the extension of the investigation of the dynamic structural response of frames to address the questions related to the influences of other factors in addition to the effects of the natural periods.
