PhD in Accounting (Finance and Markets track) from the University of São Paulo – FEA/USP, where his doctoral research focuses on corporate and national governance distance in cross-border mergers and acquisitions and its impact on post-merger performance. He holds a Master’s degree in Accounting from the Federal University of Bahia (2015) and a Master’s degree in Management Science and Computing from the University of Kent (2000), recognized by UFBA as equivalent to a Master’s degree in Administration. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Federal University of Bahia (2012) and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Bahia (1997). He also holds an MBA in Corporate Finance from FGV (2007).
