Khairun Nisa, Agung Dharmawan Buchdadi, Saparuddin Mukhtar, Faisal Hamdi
    Contaduria Y Administracion, 2026
This study investigates the unique effects of financial inclusion, operating costs, and entrepreneurial characteristics on the financial performance of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia, with a specific focus on gender-based analysis. Using a 2023 sample of 292 MSMEs across 29 Indonesian provinces, this research incorporates a diverse and extensive dataset to enhance the understanding of MSME dynamics. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was employed to analyze the relationships among the variables. The findings reveal that financial inclusion, operating costs, and entrepreneurial characteristics significantly enhance MSME financial performance, with no notable performance differences between male-led, female-led, or jointly managed businesses. These results provide insights into achieving equitable and optimal MSME financial performance and inform strategies to enhance women’s roles in Indonesia’s economy.
  • EXPLORING THE DYNAMICS OF WORK SATISFACTION AND INNOVATION AMONG YOUNG LECTURERS IN POST-PANDEMIC INDONESIA
    Despinur Dara, Saparuddin Saparuddin
Journal of Indonesian Economy and Business, 2025
Introduction/Main Objectives: This study purposes to investigate the complex relationship among work autonomy, work crafting, work satisfaction, and innovative work behaviour. Background Problems: How autonomy, crafting, and work satisfaction relate and, more collectively, affect young lecturers' innovative work behaviours within the shifting educational circumstances in Indonesia is a major concern. Novelty: This research has groundbreaking importance because it applies the self-determination theory to this particular academic context of Indonesia. It emphasises the impact of cultural variations on the motivation and behaviour of young lecturers. It offers an innovative perspective on how young lecturers may be innovative and adaptable in the face of pedagogical and technical changes that are occurring at a fast rate. Research Methods: The study uses a mixed method approach in which 382 young lecturers from state universities in Indonesia participate in surveys, in-depth interviews, and participatory observations. By using structural equation modelling (SEM) by Lisrel and systematically coded by NVIVO, it becomes possible to analyse the complex interrelationships between the variables. Finding/Result: Work crafting on work satisfaction and work satisfaction on innovative behaviour has a significant positive impact. In contrast, work autonomy has no significant influence on lecturer work satisfaction. Excessive autonomy and interference without assistance will lower lecturer work satisfaction. In a dynamic educational environment, encouraging young lecturers to use creative teaching techniques and having institutional support can boost their creativity. Conclusion: What is brought into sharp focus through this study is the balance of autonomy with adequate support for young lecturers in a world that is rapidly developing in terms of digital education. Thus, pressure exists in universities to ensure young lecturers enjoy convenience in their work and support them to ensure they obtain the institutional support and work tools required in the digital era.

Dodot Adikoeswanto, Siti Nurjanah, Saparuddin Mukhtar, Anis Eliyana, Andika Setia Pratama, Rachmawati Dewi Anggraini, Nurul Liyana Mohd Kamil
    Plos One, 2024
This research delves into the intricate interplay between perceived organizational support, proactive personality, and voice behavior. Furthermore, it establishes the pivotal role of work engagement as a mediating factor within the articulated research model. The study engaged 287 healthcare professionals within correctional institutions and detention centers in Indonesia, employing a dual-phase questionnaire distribution to capture the dynamic aspects of the participants’ experiences. Utilizing the statistical technique of Partial Least Square—Structural Equation Modeling with the SmartPLS 4 program as an analysis tool, the collected data underwent comprehensive analysis. The outcomes reveal that proactive personality significantly influences voice behavior both directly and indirectly through its impact on work engagement. Conversely, perceived organizational support directly influences work engagement but does not exhibit a direct impact on voice behavior. These findings underscore the significance of proactive personality in fostering a conducive environment for constructive organizational change from a grassroots perspective. The study suggests that organizations prioritize the cultivation of proactive personality traits to stimulate voice behavior, thereby facilitating ongoing improvements and sustainable organizational progress.
  • The Role of Professionalism, Auditor’s Experience, and Independence in Improving the Quality of Audit Results: Empirical Study on The Government Internal Monitoring Apparatus ITJEN Kemendikbudristek
Budi Agung Prasetya, Dedi Purwana, Saparuddin Muhtar
    Journal of Ecohumanism, 2024
The Government Internal Monitoring Apparatus is an important part of government management to realize good governance. This research aims to carry out analysis through the stages of identifying, reviewing, and proving hypotheses, as well as finding variables that influence the quality of audit results. The research method used is a mixed parallel convergent method. This research analyzes data through two analyses: quantitative and qualitative analysis, quantitative data was collected through questionnaires from 201 ITJEN Kemendikbudristek auditors. while qualitative data was obtained through interviews and observation. The analysis technique uses SPSS 26.0, Amos 5, and QSR NVivo 20.2 software. Research results from the quantitative analysis show that the level of professionalism, experience, independence, and quality of audit results at ITJEN Kemendikbudristek is in the sufficient category. The causal relationship between professionalism, experience, independence, and the quality of audit results is not significantly strengthened by the existence of the working time moderating variable. The model with the moderating variable produces a fit model. Likewise, the proposed model without the moderating variable produces a fit model. A model that can not only interpret samples but also interpret the population as a whole. The model without the moderating variable has a much more effective model, namely 15.2%, compared to the model with working time with a model effectiveness level of 15.1%. The research results from the qualitative analysis show that the level of professionalism, experience, independence, and quality of audit results at ITJEN Kemendikbudristek is in the sufficient category. These results are in line with the results of quantitative analysis using arithmetic average calculations. For this reason, increasing the professionalism, experience, and independence of auditors, which is currently considered sufficient, will further improve the quality of audit results when the level of professionalism, experience, and independence increases.

Karuniana Dianta Arfiando Sebayang, Agus Wibowo, Saparuddin Mukhtar, Bagus Shandy Narmaditya
Corporate and Business Strategy Review, 2024
Escalating the number of young entrepreneurs is challenging (Saptono et al., 2020; Maebane, 2023), and government support can be beneficial in raising the intention toward entrepreneurship. This research assessed how government policies influence the readiness of young people to become entrepreneurs and involved motivation and risk perception as mediators. As many as 360 young entrepreneurs in the Special Capital Region of Jakarta were involved in this self-administered survey research, and the hypotheses were estimated using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results of our study are consistent with a number of preliminary papers, which indicate that government policies not only affect the readiness of young entrepreneurs to be concerned about entrepreneurship but also increase their motivation and resilience when facing risks. The findings also show that resilience in facing risks can strengthen the influence of government policies and increase the readiness of young entrepreneurs to do business. This work furnishes insight into the vital role of government policy in increasing motivation, resilience to risk, and the readiness of young entrepreneurs to do business.

    Cogent Business and Management, 2024
The digitalization of entrepreneurship articulates concepts from various streams of literature to promote entrepreneurial intentions. This study investigates the influence of digital entrepreneurship education, perceived usefulness, and perceived ease of use on digital entrepreneurial intentions. Drawing on knowledge-based literature, this research explores the mediating effect of digital entrepreneurial self-efficacy. The data were collected from 309 university students in Indonesia through a self-administered survey, and the hypotheses were estimated using PLS-SEM with Smart-PLS 3.0. The findings indicate that digital entrepreneurship education significantly affects digital entrepreneurial self-efficacy and intention among Indonesian students. This study also demonstrates that the variables of the technology acceptance model can promote digital entrepreneurial self-efficacy and intention. In addition, the result confirms the mediating role of digital entrepreneurial self-efficacy in explaining the association between digital entrepreneurship education, perceived ease of use, and entrepreneurial intentions.
