Integrating Lean Six Sigma into waste management evaluation to enhance supply chain productivity: A case study Pramudi Arsiwi, Tita Talitha, Safarudin Ramdhani, Sahana Pramukti, Hanifah Septiani Wulandari, Elsa Diah Saputri Arsiwi, Fitri Indah Rahayu Sustainable Engineering and Innovation, 2025 This study investigates how waste management performance at community-based 3R waste management facilities (CWMFs) can be improved to enhance environmental sustainability and supply chain productivity. As urban waste continues to increase, effective community-based systems are critical to reducing landfill dependency. The research, conducted at TPS3R DR Indonesia, employed Lean Six Sigma tools such as SIPOC (Supplier-Input-Process-Output-Customer), process flow mapping, and fishbone analysis, to identify inefficiencies and their root causes. The analysis revealed that waste management efficiency reached only 60%, leaving approximately 2,400 kg of waste unprocessed daily. Key bottlenecks were found in equipment maintenance, work methods, staff awareness, and monitoring systems. Implementing structured improvement approaches such as 5S, 5W1H, and standardized operating procedures (SOPs) could enhance recovery efficiency by up to 20%. These interventions not only reduce residual waste but also improve workflow consistency and environmental performance. The study’s scientific contribution lies in demonstrating the applicability of Lean Six Sigma within community-based waste systems, providing a replicable model for integrating process improvement methodologies into local sustainability practices.
Designing a bedside table of wood furniture waste based on TRIZEE methodology Diana Puspita Sari, Sri Hartini, Faradhina Azzahra, Makhrul Hamdi, Pramudi Arsiwi Production Engineering Archives, 2024 Environmental issues have become an important consideration to be included in business operations. One of the main environmental problems in the wood industry is the high production of wood waste and increasing scarcity and cost of raw materials. For this reason, companies need to utilize wood waste to reduce material costs and, at the same time, reduce the impact of waste on the environment. Converting wood waste into products that can be sold will increase its economic value. This research aims to identify the types of waste from a furniture company and reduce waste by designing various products made from wood waste. Wood chips are wood waste that have the potential to be reused. Waste wood chips from the materials station can be used to create bedside table products. The bedside table was chosen because of its high selling price, and the company could make it with its existing resources. Apart from that, the company still needs to expand its variety of bedside tables. The bedside table was designed using the TRIZEE method. TRIZEE is a method that combines eco-efficiency with 40 TRIZ principles, which can reduce environmental impacts in alignment with company goals. The design process resulted in 4 bedside table variations. Production capacity is estimated to produce 56 bedside tables per month. If scrap waste is successfully used as bedside table material. Apart from saving raw materials, the company will be able to reduce wood waste and gain greater profits from waste utilization.

MODULAR-BASED MULTIFUNCTIONAL PRODUCT DESIGN MADE FROM FURNITURE WASTE TOWARD THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY: CASE IN INDONESIA Diana Puspita Sari, Sri Hartini, Faradhina Azzahra, Pramudi Arsiwi, Riswanda G. Prayoga Management Systems in Production Engineering, 2024 The furniture industry is one of the industrial sectors that has a potential market in Indonesia. This industry requires a lot of wood raw materials but is faced with a wood legality verification system that limits raw materials. Industrial players still need to start using waste as raw materials, which will reduce the use of primary raw materials. The circular economy concept can be applied to waste treatment. This study aims to design a pump-gallon product made from waste, considering the relatively high level of gallon container consumption. With this design, it is hoped to utilize waste into economically valuable products while reducing the environmental impact it causes. The product design process uses an integrated QFD-TRIZ method combined with circular economy principles. QFD functions to determine consumer desires and make technical responses, while TRIZ resolves contradictions in technical responses. The circular economy attribute is used as a reference in making gallon pump products from wood waste. After the design process is complete, it is followed by an economic feasibility analysis using the cost-benefit ratio. The result of this research is the design of multifunctional and modular products for gallon pumps. The gallon storage is designed to store not only gallons but also a small table for placing dirty glass and a drawer at the bottom that can be used to keep the glass or other items. There is a detachable system between the upper and lower components, making it easier to repair and use. At the bottom, they mounted castor wheels to facilitate product movement. Designing products made from waste will increase the income of furniture SMEs. In addition, it is expected that this will overcome waste management problems and shortages of raw materials experienced by furniture SMEs. Future research can utilize powder and smaller pieces of wood.

A novel watermarking method using hadamard matrix quantization P. Adi, Pramudi Arsiwi Journal of ICT Research and Applications, 2020 One of the most used watermarking algorithms is Singular Value Decomposition (SVD), which has a balanced level of imperceptibility and robustness. However, SVD uses a singular matrix for embedding and two orthogonal matrices for reconstruction, which is inefficient. In this paper, a Hadamard matrix is used to get a singular matrix for the reconstruction process. Moreover, SVD works with a floating-point value, which takes long processing time, while the Hadamard matrix works with an integer range, which is more efficient. Visual measurement showed that SVD and the new method had average NC values of 0.8321 and 0.8293, whereas the average SSIM values resulted in the same value (0.9925). In terms of processing time, the proposed method ran faster than SVD with an embedding and extraction time of 0.6308 and 0.2163 seconds against 0.8419 and 0.2935 seconds. The proposed method successfully reduced the running time while maintaining imperceptibility and robustness.
Fast and Robust Watermarking Method using Walsh Matrix Partition Prajanto Wahyu Adi, Pramudi Arsiwi 2019 2nd International Seminar on Research of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems Isriti 2019, 2019 In the research of watermarking algorithm, the Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) is widely use. It has the capability of maintaining the imperceptibility and robustness at a good level. However, the SVD has a high level of complexity in the process of decomposition and reconstruction. It split a host image into three matrices of U, S, and V. The S matrix contains with the singular value and it is used in the embedding and extraction processes. The other two matrices of U and V are orthogonal and it is used to reconstruct the watermarked image. This scheme can be simplified using a single matrix which is orthogonal and symmetrical to replace the use of matrices of SVD. This paper is proposed a watermarking algorithm using a Walsh matrix which is symmetric, orthogonal and contains signed integer value of 1 and -1. The Walsh matrix is used to transform the host image into Walsh coefficient and reconstruct the watermarked image using a simple equation. The experiment result shows that the proposed method has faster embedding and extraction time with average time of 0.3841 and 0.1854 second compared to the SVD with average time of 0.6235 and 0.2539 second. Meanwhile, the both method has same level of robustness and imperceptibility. The average PSNR value of the proposed method and SVD are 41.4991 and 41.6518 respectively while the average NC values are 0.9416 and 0.9428. The proposed method is able to shorten the processing time without reducing the imperceptibility and robustness.
A virtual reality teaching simulation for exercise during pregnancy Abas Setiawan, Faik Agiwahyuanto, Pramudi Arsiwi International Journal of Emerging Technologies in Learning, 2019 One of the poor indicators of the development and health status of a country is high maternal mortality. The world has seen that one pregnant woman in every two minutes dies because of complication with serious or long-lasting consequences. During pregnancy, pregnant women tend to reduce physical activity due to increased sensitivity factors. It will lead to decrease the elasticity of muscles and joints. The way to improve the elasticity is doing exercise during pregnancy. But, there are still many pregnant women who are less interested in doing exercise during pregnancy, due to high loaded in working day and dense schedule of daily activities in her career or as a housewife. Some women assume that by attending pregnancy exercise course in hospitals or health care centers is time-consuming and too formal because they have to follow the prenatal personal trainer schedule. The technology that allows helping pregnant women in exercise during pregnancy is virtual reality. In this study, the development of virtual reality application for exercise during pregnancy adapted from the methodology to determine when to use virtual reality in education and training combined with the Immersive Virtual Environment (IVE) questionnaire. The average results of overall components in the IVE questionnaire is 4.26 of 5-point scales that indicates the virtual reality application for exercise during pregnancy is feasible to use by pregnant woman.
