Full Prof Tatjana Šimurina, MD, PhD is a board certificated in anesthesiology, resuscitation, emergency medicine, and intensive medicine. She has extensive professional experience in perioperative medicine and intensive medicine. She is a member of the ESA Scientific Subcommittee and Executive board member of national anesthesiology societies CSARIM (HDARIM) and CSRAA (HDRAA) and active member of the European Federation for Medical Informatics Working Group (EFMI WG IDeS). She has been a faculty member, invited lecturer and chairman at multiple conferences nationally and abroad. She has been involved with WFSA and ESA as part of the ambulatory anesthesia committee. She was the principal investigator and coordinator for several clinical studies. As a Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Osijek and Department of Health Studies, University of Zadar, she has been teaching on undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels.

1997 Certificate: Specialist in Anesthesiology and Reanimatology, Ministry of Science, Education and Sport of the Republic of Croatia
2011 Ph.D., University of Zagreb; Ph.D. thesis “Predictive model for Postoperative Vomiting in Patients undergoing General Anesthesia for Gynecologic Laparoscopic Surgery” was a part of the scientific project “Predictive Models in Health”, supported by Ministry of Science, Education and Sport.
