How Elementary School Teachers Develop Students' Character? Mahatma MAHATMA, Riyadi RIYADI, Riyan ARTHUR, Ibnu SALMAN, Tri Wahyudi RAMDHAN Asian Journal of Human Services, 2026 The formation of students' personalities is closely linked to character development efforts by elementary school teachers.Implementing effective development strategies plays a crucial role in fostering desired character traits in students. This study conducts a systematic literature review (SLR) using the PRISMA protocol to identify and analyze strategies used by elementary school teachers to promote character development.A total of 29 eligible articles, published between 2015 and 2025, were selected from reputable databases including Web of Science, Scopus, and EBSCO.The review reveals four main strategies commonly used in schools: integration into the learning process, reinforcement through school culture, engagement in extracurricular activities, and involvement with the community. These strategies provide actionable insights and recommendations for elementary school teachers seeking to cultivate students' positive character traits effectively.
Constructing an instrument to measure and evaluate problem-solving skills in elementary school students: A focus on mathematical word problem-solving Sepni Yanti, Awaluddin Tjalla, Anan Sutisna, Tri Wahyudi Ramdhan Kasetsart Journal of Social Sciences, 2026 This study focused on developing and validating an instrument to assess elementary school students’ abilities in solving mathematical word problems, specifically targeting their skills in understanding, planning, applying strategies, and evaluation. Using the ADDIE instructional design model, a 30-item multiplechoice test consisting of word problem-solving was administered to 500 fourthgrade students (252 males, 248 females, aged 9–11) from three schools in Depok, Indonesia. Each of the 30 items was presented in a story-telling question format, requiring students to read and comprehend a real-world mathematical scenario before solving it. The questions were designed to test different cognitive aspects, including the student’s ability to understand the problem, plan an appropriate solution, apply mathematical strategies, and evaluate the correctness of their solution. The validity and reliability of the instrument were analyzed using Rasch analysis. Two trials were conducted. In Trial 1 (n = 200), the instrument demonstrated high item reliability (0.96) but low person reliability (0.58), with seven items identified as misfitting. Trial 2 (n = 300) showed an improvement in person reliability (0.67) and sustained high item reliability (0.98), though overfitting was observed. The results contribute to the creation of a valid and reliable tool for assessing problem-solving abilities in mathematical word problems. The findings emphasize the importance of targeted interventions to enhance students’ problem-solving skills, offering insights for improving teaching and assessment practices. This research adds to the development of assessment instruments in mathematical problem-solving and deepens the understanding of elementary students’ problem-solving abilities.
The Role of Social Emotional Learning and Self-Efficacy in Problem Focused Coping in Medical Faculty Students in Jakarta Tri Wahyudi RAMDHAN, Muhammad SYAIKHON, Djuwari Djuwari, Sugito MUZAQI, Toha MAKHSHUN, Mukhammad BAKHRUDDIN Asian Journal of Human Services, 2025 The purpose of this study was to identify the role of social emotional learning and self-efficacy in students' Problemfocused coping. The subjects of this study were 97 preclinical students from the faculty of medical education study program at one of the universities of Jakarta. This study used a correlative quantitative method, the measuring instruments of which were the Social Emotional Learning Scale, the Self-Efficacy Scale, and the Problem-focused coping Scale. The results of a number of regression tests show a value of R = 0.558, a determination coefficient (square R) of 0.311 and a significance value of 0.000 (p <0.05) with a standardized beta coefficient of social emotional learning of 0.438 and a standardized beta coefficient of self-efficacy of 0.219.These results show that social, emotional learning and self-efficacy together play a role in Problem-focused coping in the preclinical students of one of the study programs at the University of Jakarta's Faculty of Medical Education.
Achievement of student graduates: The role of e-readiness, e-learning and e-book Agus Dudung, Uswatun Hasanah, Ibnu Salman, Sugeng Priyanto, Tri Wahyudi Ramdhan International Journal of Data and Network Science, 2022 This study aims to determine the effect of e-readiness, e-learning, e-book on the achievement of graduate students; and the influence of e-readiness, e-learning, and e-books on the achievement of graduate students. The research population is graduate students with a sample of 210 doctoral students in Jakarta. The sample selection method is simple random sampling. The research method is a survey method with an associative approach. The data analysis technique is structural equation modeling (SEM) using SmartPLS 3.3.3 software and the data was obtained through the distribution of online questionnaires. The results show that there was an effect of e-readiness on graduate achievement; there was an effect of e-learning on graduate achievement; and finally, there was an effect of e-books on graduate achievement. This research can indicate that the curriculum developed by the students is in accordance with the learning outcomes, especially in the implementation of the learning process.
