Due to their potential for use in numerous applications, including displays, medical imaging, lighting, and fluorescent lamps, phosphor luminescent materials especially those activated with transition metal ions— intensive research has been conducted over the last decade on these topics. Present document describes a report on the solid-state reaction method has been used to prepare nanophosphors of Ca6BP5O20:xVO2+ (x=0.01,0.03 & 0.05 mol%) and to examine the effects of vanadyl doping on structural and morphological studies using X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fourier transform infrared spectra (FT-IR), and photoluminescence. Both the undoped and vanadyl-doped Calcium Borophosphate (CaBP and CaBP:xVO2+) nanophosphors. According to structural characteristics, both vanadium-undoped and vanadium-doped Calcium Borophosphate (CaBP&CaBP: VO2+) nanophosphors revealed triclinic structure, and the average crystallite sizes changed from 29 nm to 22 nm with increasing vanadium doping levels. Morphological research revealed that the pictures were like particles. Tetrahedral borate groups stretching vibration modes are represented in the FT-IR spectra by bands in the range of 1085-820 cm-1, whereas trigonal planar groups are represented by bands in the range of 1378-1236 cm-1. With an excitation wavelength of 385 nm, both undoped and vanadyl-doped photoluminescence spectra show a visible exude peak at 534 nm. The chromaticity results indicate that the VO2+ -doped CaBP nanophosphors had chromaticity coordinates (x,y) of (x = 0.2149, y = 0.5607), (x = 0.2119, y = 0.4688), and (x = 0.2110, y = 0.4071), correspondingly, which were located in blue-green, green, and pale blue colour spaces. When the dopant concentration is increased from 0.01 to 0.05 mol%, the light emission characteristics change from pale blue to green. These findings showed that transition metal ion-doped phosphor materials are appropriate for use in display device applications.

In the present study delves into the synthesis and characterization of a novel nanocomposite, achieved by integrating manganese doped zinc oxide nanoparticles within the unique nano-host matrix of Hibiscus. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis revealed the crystalline nature of the prepared sample. UV-Vis absorption spectra demonstrated intriguing absorbance bands, with a blue shift attributed to the presence of MnO and smaller particles, enhancing the material’s optical properties. The presence of Mn2+ ions led to broadening of peaks in the FTIR spectra, further confirming the successful integration of Mn-doped ZnO within the Hibiscus nano-host. The eco-friendly nature of the Hibiscus host matrix, coupled with the exceptional properties of Mn-doped ZnO nanoparticles, paves the way for sustainable and environmentally friendly material development.

Microbial Fuel Cells (MFCs) are an innovative technology that combines bioremediation and bioenergy generation. This study focuses on developing an MFC system, with particular attention to laboratory tests of different MFC designs. The main goal is to identify an efficient design that can both generate power and treat water effectively. The study explores the ability of MFCs to generate electricity, specifically for powering sensors from soils, sediments, and wastewater, which can be applied in real-world scenarios. The main objective is to examine how the amount of organic matter in a sample affects the electricity production of MFCs. The results show that samples with more organic matter produce more electricity when used to power MFCs. The study also looks at the temperature range that is most effective for MFC operation by measuring its thermal limits.Over a 10-day period, there is a nearly linear decline in power production from the MFCs. The second objective is to find the best conditions for MFCs to maximize electricity generation. A comparison of different conditions and sample types, including benthic mud, sewage water, and agricultural soil, is conducted. The experiment shows that the benthic mud sample, which contains more organic matter, produces more electricity than the other two samples. The study concludes that selecting the right sample type, temperature, and chamber size can improve the electricity generation of MFCs.

    Journal of Environmental Nanotechnology, 2024
Solar cells provide a renewable, clean energy source, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and minimizing environmental impact. They offer economic savings, energy independence, and flexibility for various applications. In this work, the nanophotonic and nanoplasmonic grating structures are integrated in the front side of the active (amorphous Si) layer. The transverse electric and transverse magnetic field distributions were demonstrated by varying the incident wavelengths at a normal incidence angle. Furthermore, improved current densities of distinct ultrathin amorphous Si (a-Si) solar cells decorated with nanogratings (SiO2, Ag, and Si3N4) were explored. The obtained results indicated that the optimized SiO2 nanogratings and Si3N4 film acted as anti-reflection coating (ARC) layers with air medium (AM 1.5) and showed a remarkable current density of 16.25 mA/cm2 in ultrathin a-Si solar cells with a thickness of 180 nm.

    Journal of AOAC International, 2024
Background The estimation of drugs containing drospirenone (DRSP) and ethinyl estradiol (EE), and their related impurities, in low-dose oral contraceptive drug products is an extremely challenging target. The proposed research sought to develop and validate a stability-indicating method for quantifying drug substances and their related impurities in tablet formulation. Objective To develop and validate a simple, specific, accurate, precise, and stability-indicating reverse-phase (RP)-HPLC method for quantification of DRSP, EE, and their impurities in accordance with International Conference on Harmonisation (ICH) guidelines. Method The separation was achieved using an Agilent Zorbax SB C18 column (4.6 mm × 250 mm, 5 µm) with a detection wavelength of 215 nm and mobile phases A (100% acetonitrile) and B (acetonitrile–water, 1 + 3, v/v) at a flow rate of 1.3 mL/min and a column temperature of 40°C. Results The recovery study of each impurity was conducted in the range of 24 to 72 µg/mL for DRSP-related impurities and 0.2 to 0.6 µg/mL for EE-related impurities with respect to the specification limit. A linearity study was conducted over a range of 1.5 to 90 µg/mL for DRSP and DRSP-related impurities, and 0.125 to 0.75 µg/mL for EE-related impurities. A Quality by Design (QbD) study demonstrated the method’s robustness. Conclusions As per current guidelines, a stability-indicating method has been developed for the determination of impurities in DRSP/EE film-coated tablets. A QbD-based robustness test was performed and the method was found to be robust. Highlights An accurate, precise, stability-indicating, gradient RP-HPLC method has been developed and validated to determine DRSP, EE, and nine related impurities in tablet formulation. A QbD technique was used to establish a robustness study.

Technology has advanced quickly today. The parking lot is one location where technology is used. The world’s most technologically advanced parking lots can currently recognize a vehicle plate image, but it is believed that by using Internet of Things (IoT) technology that is connected with facial recognition photographs, it will be even better. The manual screening done by security agents is one of the parking issues. Naturally, this will take time, and the level of security is also poor because there is no verification when you enter. Only at the moment of exit are checks made, and the officer making the check is not always the same and does not have the vehicle owner’s memory. The adoption of this facial image recognition technology is expected to increase the parking system’s security. This service does not require training data. The proposed system makes use of real-time data, low-cost sensors, and user-friendly applications to enable users to track parking availability in real time. The aim is to streamline the parking search process by automating the identification of optimal parking spots, whether it be the ideal floor, location, or lot, thereby minimizing manual search time. The integration of low-cost sensors not only enhances cost-effectiveness but also reduces the ecological footprint associated with traditional parking systems and also promotes a more resilient and eco-friendly urban environment for the benefit of both users and lot owners.
