  • SR-GBN-ARQ protocol using error correction code in fading network
Prajit Paul, Bappadittya Roy, Anup Kumar Bhattacharjee
International Journal of Information and Computer Security, 2025
In this paper, an SR-GBN ARQ protocol with a black-winged kite algorithm (BWKA)-based low-density parity check (LDPC) is proposed for maximising throughput in fading networks. Applying a few SR retransmissions prior to losing the GBN retransmission reduces the drawbacks of the GBN model when the GBN and SR models are integrated for the SR-GBN approach. The combined techniques of the packet combining approach (PCA), modified packet combining (MPC), and aggressive packet combining (APC) have been used at the receiver end to avoid or reduce retransmissions in an attempt to improve the performance of ARQ-based systems. Furthermore, to enhance the error correction capability, an optimised LDPC based on BWKA is employed. The proposed protocol is implemented using the MATLAB tool, and the results are compared to existing scenarios. Various performance metrics are used to determine the efficacy. Accordingly, better throughput of 0.1351 has obtained with a packet size of 256.
  • A novel Block Bi-diagonalization based pre-coding scheme for bit error reduction in mutiple input multiple output-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing
Prajit Paul, Bappadittya Roy, Anup Kumar Bhattacharjee
International Journal of Communication Systems, 2023
Summary The MIMO‐OFDM increases spectral efficiency without the use of channel state information (CSI). However, the bit error rate (BER) in the MIMO‐OFDM model increases dramatically due to the increase in nonlinear distortion in the power amplifier (PA). In this research, a novel pre‐coder integrated MIMO‐OFDM technology is designed for effective BER reduction, and its performance is analyzed. The discrete wavelet‐based OFDM system is one of the key ideas to present good orthogonal by emphasizing orthogonal wavelets. It helps to mitigate inter‐symbol interference (ISI) and noise within the channel by extending the bandwidth (BW) compared to conventional OFDM systems. But, DWT‐OFDM highly suffered due to downsampling, which degrades system efficiency. To overcome this, a redundant discrete wavelet transform (RDWT) is proposed in this article to enhance spectral efficiency. For modulation, 16‐bit quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) is introduced in this work. In addition to this, a block bi‐diagonalization (BBD) pre‐coder technique is proposed to mitigate unwanted noise and interference in the MIMO‐OFDM system. The performance measures such as ergodic sum capacity, BER, throughput, average jitter noise power, mean square error (MSE), and power consumption are analyzed using the MATLAB platform. The proposed method obtains the ergodic sum capacity of 6.25 bps/Hz, a BER of 0.021, a throughput of 95.2%, MSE of −0.47, and a power consumption of 1.15 μW. The simulative results prove the efficacy of the proposed method.

This paper presents a current mode quadrature oscillator using current differencing transconductance amplifier (CDTA). The proposed circuit uses a single CDTA, one resistor, and two capacitors. The designed circuit enjoys the advantages of independent control of condition of oscillation (CO) and frequency of oscillation (FO). The performance of the proposed circuit is examined using PSPICE with model parameters of TSMC 0.18 µm.
  • An enhanced scheme for using error correction codes in ARQ protocol

Lecture Notes of the Institute for Computer Sciences Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering, 2012
In previous work, MPC(Modified Packet Combining) and PRPC(Packet Reverse Packet Combining) schemes are understood to offer higher throughput and better error correction capability at high bit error rate (BER) and large packet size only. An analysis was performed to corroborate this claim of higher throughput and better error correction capability in high as well as in low bit error rate (BER) for large and medium packet size. To pacification high bit error rate some researchers proposed to use Error Correction Code (ECC) in place of Error Detection Code (EDC) in ARQ scheme. But no incontrovertible result is found to justify the idea in terms of throughput. The recent investigation is an attempt to analyze the throughput. In this paper, we investigate the analysis of both PRPC and MPC in a Modified way over Conventional PRPC, and report the findings available. We propose a combined protocol of Modified PRPC and MPC, and find that it will offer higher throughput and better error correction capability at high and low BER with medium and large packet size as we have used MPC (Modified Packet Combining) scheme with PRPC (Packet Reverse Packet Combining) scheme in a Modified way by combining BEC (Backward Error Correction) with FEC (Forward Error Correction) Codes especially Space-Time Ring-Trellis Coded Modulation (ST-RTCM) code for Communication and Networks by using MATLAB TM software.
  • Impact of mismatch losses arising in crystalline and amorphous silicon PV modules-an Indian experience

2011 World Congress on Sustainable Technologies Wcst 2011, 2011
In order to configure the right kind of Photovoltaic (PV) panel/PV arrays in a typical Indian climatic condition, electrical characterizations of different kinds of PV modules were carried out by the authors under varying levels of incident solar radiation (insolation). The experimental results reveal that amorphous silicon modules definitely enjoy advantages of lower mismatch losses with respect to crystalline silicon counterparts.

In some earlier work, MPC and PRPC are believed to offer higher throughput and better error correction capability at high bit error rate (BER) and large packet size only. An analysis was performed to substantiate this claim of higher throughput and better error correction capability in high as well as in low bit error rate (BER) for large and medium packet size. To conciliation high bit error rate some researchers proposed to use Error Correction Code (ECC) in place of Error Detection Code (EDC) in ARQ scheme. But no irrefutable result is found to justify the idea in terms of throughput. The recent exploration is an attempt to analyze the throughput. In this paper, we investigate the analysis of both PRPC and MPC in a Modified way over Conventional PRPC, and testimony the findings available. We propose a combined protocol of Modified PRPC and MPC, and find that it will offer higher throughput and better error correction capability at high and low BER with medium and large packet size as we have used MPC (Modified Packet Combining) scheme with PRPC (Packet Reverse Packet Combining) scheme in a Modified way by combining BEC (Backward Error Correction) with FEC (Forward Error Correction) Codes especially Product Codes for Communication and Networks by using MATLAB™ software.
