Autism Spectrum Disorder Detection Using Voting Based Multi-model Deep Ensemble Network Sampad Mondal, Gopa Bhaumik, B Balaji Naik Proceedings of the IEEE International Conference on AI Engineering and Innovations Aiei 2026, 2026 Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder often face difficulties in communication and social interaction. Early detection of ASD is crucial because early intervention and support can reduce social competence. The traditional detection approaches rely on psychological observation and require expert intervention. In this paper, we propose a multi-model ensemble model for ASD detection with improved prediction accuracy. The ensemble model includes three deep architectures such as DenseNet12, Xception, and a custom CNN for ASD detection. The performance of the proposed model is enhanced by ensembling the confidence of the individual models using soft voting scheme. The proposed model yields an astounding accuracy of 94.64% and an AUC of 0.9835 on Autistic Children Facial Dataset. The experimental result demonstrates that the proposed approach yields better results compared to the existing state of the art methods.
Quantum-Inspired PSO Based User Allocation in Edge Computing Systems Marlom Bey, Pratyay Kuila, Banavath Balaji Naik 6th IEEE International Conference on Recent Advances in Information Technology Rait 2025, 2025 The growth of mobile and IoT devices has been tremendous in the edge computing (EC) environment. The device users (DUs) require high computational resources to run resource-intensive applications appropriately. Thus the efficient allocation of DUs in the EC environment known as the user allocation problem (UAP) is a crucial challenge considering various resource and time constraints. This paper proposes a quantum-inspired particle swarm optimization-based user allocation strategy (QIPSO-UA) for efficient user allocation in EC systems. Firstly, the UAP problem is mathematically formulated. Then the quantum particles (QPs) are designed to provide a complete and valid solution to the UAP. The quality of each solution is evaluated with the designed fitness function by considering user allocation rate (UAR), total computational delay, and load balance of the system. Extensive simulations in various scenarios have been conducted to evaluate the performance of the proposed QIPSO-UA. The simulation results show the superiority of the proposed QIPSO-UA compared to well-known meta-heuristic approaches such as PSO and DE.
Quantum-Inspired Differential Evolution With Decoding Using Hashing for Efficient User Allocation in Edge Computing Environment Marlom Bey, Pratyay Kuila, Banavath Balaji Naik IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computing, 2025 Modern apps require high computing resources for real-time data processing, allowing app users (AUs) to access real-time information. Edge computing (EC) provides dynamic computing resources to AUs for real-time data processing. However, due to resources and coverage constraints, edge servers (ESs) in specific areas can only serve a limited number of AUs. Hence, the app user allocation problem (AUAP) becomes challenging in the EC environment. This paper proposes a quantum-inspired differential evolution algorithm (QDE-UA) for efficient user allocation in the EC environment. The quantum vector is designed to provide a complete solution to the AUAP. The fitness function considers the minimum use of ES, user allocation rate (UAR), energy consumption, and load balance. Extensive simulations and hypotheses-based statistical analyses (ANOVA, Friedman test) are performed to show the significance of the proposed QDE-UA. The results indicate that QDE-UA outperforms the majority of the existing strategies with an average UAR improvement of 112.42%, and 140.62% enhancement in load balance while utilizing 13.98% fewer ESs. Due to the higher UAR, QDE-UA shows 59.28% higher total energy consumption on average. However, the lower energy consumption per AU is evidence of its energy efficiency.
