International Journal of Modern Physics B, 2026 This study presents the synthesis of Nickel-substituted Cobalt–Zinc ferrites with the chemical formula Co y Ni x Zn([Formula: see text])Fe 2 O 4 ([Formula: see text]; x ranging from 0.1 to 0.7) using the sol–gel technique. The primary objective was to examine the effect of Ni[Formula: see text] incorporation on the structural, optical and electrical characteristics of the materials. X-ray diffraction examination confirmed the establishment of a single-phase cubic spinel structure, with a reduction in lattice parameters attributed to the smaller ionic radius of Ni[Formula: see text] associated with Zn[Formula: see text]. Crystallographic stability across all compositions was further verified through Rietveld refinement. FE-SEM micrographs revealed uniformly distributed, nearly spherical nanograins, while FTIR and Raman analyses identified characteristic spinel vibrational modes, confirming the preservation of structural integrity following nickel substitution. The analysis by UV–Vis showed a reduction in the optical band gap from 1.53[Formula: see text]eV to 1.26[Formula: see text]eV, which indicated electronic transitions in the enhanced state. Dielectric and impedance studies demonstrated frequency-dependent responses, with Ni[Formula: see text] doping improving electrical conductivity through facilitated electron hopping. These results demonstrate that Ni[Formula: see text] substitution effectively tunes the structural and functional properties, making these nanoferrites promising for EMI shielding, sensors and high-frequency device applications.
Structural, Optical and Vibrational analysis of Co2+Substitution of CoyNixZn(1-y)-xFe2O4Nanoferrites Ritu, Shobha Ram Choudhary, P. A. Alvi, B. L. Choudhary EPJ Web of Conferences, 2026 This study focuses on the synthesis and characterization of nanocrystalline Co y Ni x Zn (1−y)−x Fe 2 O 4 ferrites, where the compositions are set with y = 0.6, 0.8 and x = 0.1, 0.3. The sol-gel method has been used to synthesis the samples, for achieve a controlled and uniform distribution of metal ions within the precursor solution. This technique is especially useful because it allows the formation of uniform nanoparticles with improved crystallinity and well-controlled shape. The XRD results showed that the samples had a single-phase cubic spinel structure, which is characteristic of ferrite materials. The broad diffraction peaks observed in the XRD patterns suggested that the synthesized particles were of nanoscale dimensions. The Debye-Scherrer equation, linking peak broadening in XRD patterns to particle diameters and suggesting nano meter -scale dimensions, was employed to evaluate crystallite sizes. To gain deeper insights into the lattice dynamics, Raman spectroscopy was performed. The obtained spectra provided valuable information regarding the vibrational modes of the ferrite structure, further confirming phase purity and the presence of characteristic spinel modes. Additionally, optical properties were analyzed using UV-VIS Spectroscopy, which revealed essential details about the band gap and light absorption behavior of the materials, making them suitable for optoelectronic applications. The synthesized nanomaterials demonstrated enhanced thermal and chemical stability compared to similar ferrite systems. Their improved stability and multifunctionality make them promising candidates for next-generation technological advancements, ensuring their relevance for future research and industrial applications.
