Elucidation of crystal structures using Bragg's peaks and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance chemical shifts for polymorphic forms of (E)-4-Bromo-2-[(phenylimino)methyl]phenol B. Krishnapriya, R.Ida Malarselvi, C.Ramachandra Raja, R. Priscilla Chemical Physics Impact, 2023 Polymorphic Form-I and Form-II of (E)-4-Bromo-2-[(phenylimino)methyl]phenol [4B2PMP] commonly known as N-salicylidene have been identified. Form-I and Form-II are synthesized in the temperature at 283K and 333K respectively. In both forms, the molecule shows some resembling structures in the geometrical arrangements but differing in properties. Structural affirmation accomplished by well-defined strong Bragg's diffraction pattern through powder X-Ray diffraction patterns with assigning Nuclear magnetic resonance chemical shifts and its data analysis. Intramolecular O-H…N weak hydrogen bond between the -OH phenol group and the imine =N- group found in both forms but differing in torsion angles. Optical behavior studied through Diffuse-Reflectance UV-VIS spectroscopy. The Molecular docking approach exhibits ligand (4B2PMP) – protein (DNA Gyrase B) interaction against Escherichia coli shows variations between the two forms which is due to the unique property of crystal polymorphism. Polymorphism makes 4B2PMP-Form II crystal have the highest binding affinity than Form I crystal.
Dipole Moment Studies in some Substituted Anilines with Alcohols R. Priscilla, A. Deepika, R. Ida Malarselvi Journal of Physics Conference Series, 2021 Dipole moments have been determined by using the mixtures of diluted solutions of aniline, o-chloro aniline, p-chloro aniline, ethanol, 2-butoxy ethanol and 2-methoxy ethanol in carbon tetrachloride at 30° C based on Debye’s polarization method and Huysken’s method. The results are interpreted that the complex dipole moment for the halogen substitution of acceptor complexes is greater than the mono substituted acceptor complexes. But the case is reversed in halogen substitution of donor complexes.
Uncertainty quantification in the fixation of Drug Dosage to cancer-induced Rats - A computational and Mathematical modeling using Fuzzy evidence theory R Judith Kiruba, A Deepika, R Ida Malarselvi, R Priscilla, R Irene Hepzibah, C Ramachandra Raja Journal of Physics Conference Series, 2021 Results of any working out are of practical use only if statistics about their accuracy is also available. This is commonly correct in the molecular and drug design where the accuracy in each model is of vital importance. Valuation of the efficiency of changes presented in a prototypical and quantifiable evaluation of the presentation of changed models necessitates quantity for calculating the full uncertainty in designing the drug molecules, the collective impact from all improbability causes. To novelty, such a quantity is some of the points of our research. In the fuzzy model, the consequent of the fuzzy rule is often determined with degrees of belief or credibility because of vague information originating from evidence not strong enough and “lack of specificity”. In this paper, we present a fuzzy model incorporated with the fuzzy Dempster-Shafer Theory. A well-known example of drug dosage prediction is tested, the prediction results show that our fuzzy modeling is very efficient and has a strong expressive power to represent the complex system with uncertain situations.
Computational modeling and water analysis of parameter estimation by uncertainty quantification in water resources R Judith Kiruba, G Geethalakshmi, R Ida Malarselvi, R Irene Hepzibah, A. Deepika, R Priscilla, C Ramachandra Raja Journal of Physics Conference Series, 2021 Falling losses from aquatic disease is the main public condition goal in developed countries. The present study terms the application of Physical Sciences and Environmental Sciences techniques to solve the real-life problem associated with the society. Water samples are taken from a river, pond, bore well, and municipality at Kabisthalam in Kumbakonam Taluk, Tanjore District, Tamil Nadu, South India. The current work defines the expansion of mathematical typical to expect the interaction parameters which were used to determine the quantitative characteristics of the water. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was employed to identify the level of importance in interaction parameters on their characteristics. The effect of these parameters on interaction has been investigated using experimental designs. The new results have been correlated using the Fuzzy Evidence Theory. The salient aspect of the work is that a very simplified analytic output of the fuzzy model is achieved when all fuzzy sets in the fuzzy partition of the output space have the same power (the area under the membership function), and the determination of basic probability assignments associated with fuzzy Dempster-Shafer belief structure using fuzzy focal elements.
Synthesis, thermal and antimicrobial activity of novel organic single crystal of (E)-4-bromo-2-[(phenylimino)methyl]phenol compound R. IDAMALARSELVI, G. SWETHA, C. RAMACHANDRA RAJA, R. PRISCILLA Asian Journal of Chemistry, 2020 This study focused on kinetic modelling of a specific type of multistep heterogeneous reaction comprising exothermic and endothermic reaction steps, as exemplified by the experimental kinetic curves for the thermal decomposition of (E)-4-Bromo-2-[(phenylimino)methyl]- phenol (4B2PMP) crystal. The crystal was grown by a slow evaporation method. The cell parameters and crystalline perfection of the grown crystal were studied by single and powder X-ray diffractions. Thermal stability and phase change of 4B2PMP crystal were analyzed by TG/DTA. The microhardness study has revealed the soft nature. UV-visible analysis reveals the wide range of optical window of the optical transmission from 199 nm to 1100 nm. The bandgap of the crystal is found to be 3.24 eV. The FESEM of the crystals was spherically shaped and consisted of a core-shell structure with internal aggregates. The antimicrobial activity of title crystal was tested against different microorganisms by disc diffusion method. The results reveal that the title compound have effective antimicrobial activities.
Double Schiff bases derivatives of chitosan by selective C-6 and C-2 oxidation mediated by 5-fluorosalicylaldehyde aniline by TG-GC-MS and TG-FTIR analysis Ida Malarselvi Rajkumar, Deepika Asaithambi, Ramachandra Raja Chidambaram, Priscilla Rajkumar Synthetic Communications, 2020 This enhancement in the activity may be efficient on the basis that ligands mainly possess CH=N bond. The use of a structure-based drug design approach (SBDD) provides a way for investigation as well as to understand the molecular basis of the target protein and ligand molecule interactions at the atomic level. Structure-based drug design is the design and optimization of a chemical structure to identify a compound suitable for clinical testing the drug candidates. Chitosan is a polysaccharide with recognized biological activities for improving the functionality of polysaccharide 5-Fluorosalicylaldehyde aniline system. The used for selectively oxidized chitosan to produce tailored derivatives. C-2-5-Fluorosalicylaldehyde-C-6 aniline double Schiff base derivatives of chitosan were synthesized. The structure and properties of the newly synthesized product were characterized by FT-IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, GC-Mass spectroscopy, and thermal analysis (DSC/TGA). An exothermic process discusses a DSC and TGA analysis of thermal behavior of this polymer was shown to be a possible thermal polymerization of the double bonds in the polymer chains and thermo-oxidation of the polymer. Effect of organic dyes and polypyrrole on the efficiency of dye-sensitized solar cells R. Ida Malarselvi, G. Ragasudha, C. Ramachandra Raja, R. Priscilla Materials Today Proceedings, 2019 Polypyrrole films were coated on conductive glass by electrochemical deposition (alternative current of direct process). They were then used as the dye-synthesized solar cell counter electron electrodes. Scanning electron microscopy revealed that polypyrrole forms a nanoparticle like structure on the conductive glass. In the present study, two new organic dyes based on aniline and substituted 5-Nitrosalicylaldehyde with aniline were prepared and used and sensitizes in dye-sensitized solar cells. These dyes in solution and on a nano-anatase v2o5 substrate were investigated. Additionally, oxidation potential measurement were also carried out. Finally, dye-sensitized solar cells were fabricated to determine and conversion efficiency of each dye.
