  • The effects of MDR-TB Treatment Regimens through Socioeconomic and Spatial characteristics on Environmental-Health Outcomes: Evidence from Chinese Hospitals
Yadong Liu, Daquan Cao, Xinghua Cao, Vipin Jain, Chanchal Chawla, Malik Shahzad Shabbir, and Carlos Samuel Ramos-Meza

    SAGE Publications
This study examines socioeconomic and spatial factors and its influences on the outcomes of environmental-health through “multi-drug resistance tuberculosis” (MDR-TB) treatment regimes in China. For this purpose, a survival analysis is conducted by applying “multivariable Cox Proportional Hazard model” on secondary data starts from 2010 to 2019. The data set is consisting of six hundred and fifty five (655) TB patients from different hospitals of China. The findings of this study indicate us that there is no alteration in patient survival rates between the two treatment departments, hospital and ambulatory care. The spatial characteristics of time expenditure and medical expenditure are significantly correlated with “supporting distance bias methods” and “environmental health results”. On the other side, travel expenditures and male gender results show negatively associated with the “environmental-health outcome”. This study reveals with these remarks that Ministry of Health, China should take serious actions to control MDR-TB and launch a comprehensive policy with the help of WHO recommendation.

  • Information frameworks and business patterns in smart cities
Vipin Jain, Puneet Sethi, Garima Rawat, Vivek Anand Singh, Avinash Raj Kumar, Chanchal Chawla, and Bijender Bansal

    IGI Global
There are two methods for cities to become “smart cities” in the Netherlands: one puts commercial models ahead of information architecture, while the other goes in the other direction. With regard to service improvement, resource allocations, and the sustainability of business expansion, the authors selected two cities to explore the fundamental distinctions between these two methods. While the second instance began with the creation of a system which acted as a technological framework to make alterations in commercial processes, the initial instance concentrated on producing marketing benefits via the utilization of technology by upgrading current resources and/or delivering newer ones. With additional innovative services made accessible to the general public, the authors discovered that the initial scenario increased company value more quickly. The second scenario, in comparison, required more resources and moved more slowly toward providing newer resources to the broader public, but the services were far better and more long-lasting.

  • Applications of data security and blockchain in smart city identity management
Amit Verma, Anushi Singh, Puneet Sethi, Vipin Jain, Chanchal Chawla, Akshay Bhargava, and Ankur Gupta

    IGI Global
Applications of blockchain might be related to healthcare and commercial sector. Need of such application is growing in smart cities. It has been observed that its implication are quite complex. The goal of the blockchain technology is to make it possible to store and distribute digital data without the risk of it being altered in transit. A blockchain provides the basis for immutable ledgers or transaction records that cannot be edited, erased, or destroyed. The term “blockchain” is often used to refer to DLT. Hashing is a sophisticated procedure that cannot be modified or reversed. When it comes to data security, it's all about safeguarding your information against unwanted access and corruption at every stage of its lifespan. Encryption, hashing, tokenization, and key management methods are all part of the data security process. The term “identity and access management” refers to all of the methods and technologies used inside a business to identify, authenticate, and authorize users to access services and systems within that business or other associated businesses.

  • Systematic literature review: Assessing community health hazards arising from food safety concerns in the food market
Chanchal Chawla, Ashish Gupta, Prem Colaco, and M. Nalini Sunil

    Malque Publishing
Food safety concerns have an immediate impact on public health. The food market is an important node for investigating possible risks due to its central role in the delivery of food goods to communities. Health concerns are internationalized as food supply chains span many countries. Therefore, we undertook this literature study to uncover widespread threats to public health from inadequate food safety measures. The online databases were examined for any quantitative, qualitative or mixed-method studies that had been published and they were in the process of publishing. Prisma table analysis was used to determine the level of methodological quality in the included research. Using a qualitative analysis strategy, we classified the ideas in the full-text articles into overarching categories that share commonalities but are not mutually exclusive. After identifying commonalities in the articles' discussions and final thoughts, we synthesized each subject. After a thorough and methodical reading, recurring motifs were uncovered. During analysis, we got better at categorizing and analyzing the data. The examination of 7 full-text papers resulted in common public health issues linked with food safety in the food industry. The expiration dates on these products were demonstrated to pose a serious risk to healthcare in the food sector. The food industry faces several public health issues discovered in this evaluation of the relevant research. As a result, robust national risk-based food surveillance systems are necessary to guarantee the public's safety. Foods entering global trade must be guaranteed to be safe and of high quality as well as imported foods must meet domestic standards. Regulatory bodies, players in the food sector and consumers need to work together to find effective solutions to these problems. By addressing these issues, we can work toward making the food market a place where everyone can feel secure and healthy.

  • Assessing the interaction between internal control and financial management in local government
Chanchal Chawla, Shalini R., and Ranjana Singh

    Malque Publishing
A well-designed internal control (IC) system should reveal how well the government manages its finances and how effectively they employ its resources. This study studied the interaction between the local government's effectiveness in IC and its financial management. Some issues with IC practice include insufficient accountability, when everyday interactions are not reported for, and inefficient mechanisms are taken into action to catch perpetrators who interfere with the money. The method used in the study depends on a survey research strategy. The research's statistical data were gathered by distributing 250 questionnaires to employees of the ten (10) local governments that were taken into consideration. Selective sampling was used to choose these respondents, and regression analysis was used to examine the questionnaire's results. The analysis's findings demonstrate that IC and financial management are significantly correlated, with a . Because of this conclusion, the research recommends that the management of local governments develop more robust ways for internal control. These approaches will ensure that IC is practical and efficient, allowing for the successful management of financial problems.

It is a well-known fact that consumers may gain significant benefits from the effective use of IoT in pandemic and post-pandemic settings. Security vulnerabilities can be seen in the ever-increasing Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem from cloud to edge, which is crucial to note in this particular circumstance. Most merchants, even luxury stores, have failed to implement robust IoT cyber security procedures. Therefore, the researchers sought to put forth secondary research methodologies to bring forward efficient scrutiny regarding this particular issue to properly comprehend the influence of IoT in various devices, including a smartwatch, power displaying metre, brilliant weight showing gadgets and many more. The secondary research approach allowed the researchers to collect a large quantity of data quickly, acquiring a wide range of possible solutions for security and privacy issues in Consumer IoT (CIoT) devices. Secondary research also will enable scholars to compare and contrast several papers' philosophies and research findings to get a quick conclusion. To gather information, the researchers used publications and the internet efficiently. In this situation, it helped to save a significant amount of time. Findings suggested that vulnerabilities occur in smart IoT gadgets, including the intelligent power consumption metre and brilliant weight displaying widget, due to their low-standard and conventional security system. Thus, this paper has suggested possible solutions to protect IoT devices against phishing and theft attacks.
