Kelvin Mubiana Katukula is an MPhil candidate at Stellenbosch University, South Africa. His studies focus on the bibliometric analysis of research at the University of Namibia (UNAM). He works in the UNAM Grant Management Office under the Pro-Vice-Chancellor: Research, Innovation, and Development and lectures in the school of education. Previously, Kelvin served as administrative support to students and academics concerning student assessments in the Registrar’s Office and taught sciences in Finnish and Namibian schools.
Kelvin holds a MA in Primary Education from the University of Eastern Finland, where he was involved in a cross-national comparative study on teaching methods in science education. His research interests include language ideologies and mother-tongue as a medium of instruction and learning; how complex language policies and ideologies create conflict. In October 2021, he was a guest speaker at the Centre for Global Education and Experience at Augsburg University
