Brahmayya has been working as Research Associate in Central Tribal University of AP (CTUAP) since 2022. He received his Master’s degree in Chemistry in 2007 and Ph.D. in 2013 from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. He has been a worked as NSC Post Doctoral Fellow at the HungKuang University, Taichung, Taiwan (20013), MOST-Postdoctoral Fellow at National Chung Hsing University (Below 500 Rank), Taiwan (2014-2017), CGMH-MOST Post Doctoral Fellow, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital-CGU school of Medicine (2017-2018, (World Rank 105) and a MOST-Postdoctoral Fellow at Academia Sinica (World Rank 22 ), Taiwan (2019). He is a recipient of the Best Research Article awardee in 2018. His research interests include Total Synthesis, Medicinal chemistry, Nanomaterials, Catalysis.

Abstract
Synthesis of 1-((5-oxo-4,5-dihydro-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl) methyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole-3-carboxylic acid was accomplished starting with the commercially available 1,2,4-triazole-3-carboxylic acid. The conversion of hydrazide and carbon dioxide to 1,3,4-oxadiazole has been explained. Antibacterial activity also studied for some synthesized compounds.

For bone regeneration, a biocompatible thermo-gelling hydrogel, hyaluronic acid-g-chitosan-g-poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (HA-CPN) was used as a three-dimensional organic gel matrix for entrapping rabbit adipose-derived stem cells (rASCs). Biphasic calcium phosphate (BCP) ceramic microparticles were embedded within the gel matrix as a mineralized bone matrix, which was further fortified with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) with osteo-inductive properties. In vitro culture of rASCs in HA-CPN and HA-CPN/PRP/BCP was compared for cell proliferation and osteogenic differentiation. Overall, HA-CPN/PRP/BCP was a better injectable cell carrier for osteogenesis of rASCs with increased cell proliferation rate and alkaline phosphatase activity, enhanced calcium deposition and mineralization of extracellular matrix, and up-regulated expression of genetic markers of osteogenesis. By implanting HA-CPN/PRP/BCP/rASCs constructs in rabbit critical size calvarial bone defects, new bone formation at the defect site was successfully demonstrated from computed tomography, and histological and immunohistochemical analysis. Taken together, by combining PRP and BCP as the osteo-inductive and osteo-conductive factor with HA-CPN, we successfully demonstrated the thermo-gelling composite hydrogel scaffold could promote the osteogenesis of rASCs for bone tissue engineering applications.

AbstractAcid catalysts facilitate many chemical reactions. Sulfonated reduced grapheneoxide (rGOPhSO3H) has shown to be an encouraging solid acid catalyst because of its efficiency, cost-effectiveness and safety of use. In this study, we prepared the rGOPhSO3H nano acid catalyst, with the introduction of aromatic sulfonic acid radicals onto GO by fractional removal of oxygenated functions. It was thoroughly characterized by FT-IR, X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Raman spectroscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and solid state 13C MAS NMR (SSNMR). Here we report the conversion of CO2 (1.0 atm pressure, at = 50 °C, the source of C1 carbon feed stock) with hydrazides and a catalytic amount rGOPhSO3H, which through a cyclization reaction results in a new strategy for the synthesis of 5-substituted-3H-[1,3,4]-oxadiazol-2-ones (SOxdOs) under ultrasonic irradiation. Hence this concept of cyclization opens up for new insights

Dimethyl 3-amino-4-(p-tolyloxy)-[1, 1′-biaryl]-2, 6-dicarboxylate (novel carboxylic esters) have been synthesized via starting from one pot-multicomponent reaction of phenol, malononitrile and aldehyde in presence of ZnO2/water-methanol system under reflux. We had studied the effect of catalyst systems, effect of temperature, IR, 1HNMR, mass spectral characterizations and antimicrobial applications of synthesized molecules.

Article history: The present study was aimed to determine a novel route of synthesis of quinolines and their in vitro antioxidant activities. Synthesis of quinolines is simple, economic, effective and an easy way process has been developed by using the SiO2-Zn-MgO as a novel catalyst. The quinolines antioxidative potential was evaluated using 1,1-Diphenyi-2-Picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), superoxide radical, hydroxyl radical, and hydrogen peroxide radical assay by in vitro methods. Quinolines exhibited highest level of antioxidant activities, and therefore it could be used as antioxidant that may have potential benefits in health and disease management.
