Detection and Classification Approach of Denial of Service Attack in SDN Pooja Chaturvedi, Deepika Bishnoi 2025 3rd International Conference on Communication Security and Artificial Intelligence Iccsai 2025, 2025 Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks are a serious risk to network security and stability because they overload systems with malicious traffic, disrupting services. Conventional detection methods frequently find it difficult to keep up with the growing complexity and scope of these types of attacks. The use of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) approaches for efficient DDoS attack detection and categorization is examined in this study. AI/ML models can detect abnormalities in network traffic and differentiate between malicious and legitimate activity in real time by utilizing sophisticated data analytics and pattern recognition. The study offers a thorough examination of numerous feature extraction methods, supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms, and training and assessment datasets.Experimental findings show that AI/ML-based techniques outperform traditional techniques in terms of detection accuracy, scalability, and adaptability. The results demonstrate how intelligent systems may improve network defenses and lessen the effects of DDoS attacks in a variety of operating settings.
Disease Identification and Classification From Pearl Millet Leaf Images Using Machine Learning Techniques Pooja Chaturvedi, Swati Manekar, Aparna Kumari, Deepika Bishnoi Methodologies Frameworks and Applications of Machinem Learning, 2024 Plant disease plays a crucial role in the reduction as well as degradation of production and yield in the area of precision agriculture and is a major concern for farmers and agriculturists. Hence, the detection and identification of diseases among the crops is essential. In this chapter, the CNN model for the identification and classification of different plant diseases through its leaf images is used. Four diseases such as ergot, downy mildew, blast, and rust in the pearl millet crops are considered in this work. The images of the pearl millet crop are considered for the five classes: healthy, ergot, downy mildew, rust, and blast. The dataset consists of 2074 images. The dataset is trained for the 30 epochs. The proposed approach is compared with the various existing methodologies such as naïve Bayesian, decision tree, support vector machine, and random forest. The simulation result shows that the proposed approach using the CNN outperforms the existing approaches in terms of accuracy and loss.
